Dog Friendly Las Vegas: Pet-A-Palooza

It’s better to be lucky than good, and we got extremely lucky with the timing of our trip to Las Vegas.  This past weekend a local radio station, Mix 94.1, held its annual Pet-A-Palooza event.  Pet-A-Palooza has everything you would expect at a top-notch festival, but it’s even better
It’s better to be lucky than good, and we got extremely lucky with the timing of our trip to Las Vegas.  This past weekend a local radio station, Mix 94.1, held its annual Pet-A-Palooza event.  Pet-A-Palooza has everything you would expect at a top-notch festival, but it’s even better because you’re encouraged to bring your pet along for the fun.  Local businesses and non-profits set up tents where you can buy pet-friendly products or learn more about adopting a pet.  Both local and national acts take to the stage throughout the weekend which is pretty amazing considering that tickets are only $8.  Eko and I stopped by on Saturday afternoon to check out Pet-A-Palooza for ourselves.

I’m not sure that I know exactly what was going on at this tent, but I’m not sure that I want to know

It was another brutally hot day, so the watering hole was the place to be

We’ve seen some inexplicable things on our adventure, but this sign takes the cake

I couldn’t have imagined a better way to cap our great week in Las Vegas then Pet-A-Palooza.  It was definitely one of the coolest events we’ve visited, and I’m hoping that as we get into summer there will be a lot more outdoor events that are pet friendly.

Vegas, it’s been fun, but it’s time for Eko and I to cash out.  Next up, Phoenix.  Be sure to send along any suggestions to [email protected] if you know the area!

That look fun for you and your dog

  2. Manda says:

outside in phx right now is a liitle tricky with animals, already had several dogs die from heatstroke around the valley… so take precautions. However, the Phoenix Pet Expo is Saturday April 28th and it is indoors in the Cardinal Stadium, free admission 🙂
