A Message From Old Man Winter

“Is your refrigerator running?” Yeah?  Well…mine isn’t.  And so please excuse the tardiness of today’s post; Eko and I were busy saving the perishables.  I wasn’t sure if beer was perishable, so I drank the one I had in there just to be safe.  Eko assured me that the treats I

And while our fridge may be out of commission, last night we got an indication that we might not need a fridge for the next few months.

Eko did his best to clean off the pumpkins, but it was to no avail.  The message was clear:

Eko: Will, are you writing on random cars in our neighborhood?

Will: Eko, you sure ask a lot of questions for a dog.  Just make sure no one is looking.

As the old saying goes, winter officially begins when the first snow flake falls on Mr. Eko’s nose

Luckily our apartment building bought the good stuff!

Last year most of the country got away with an easy winter.  In fact, Eko and I were playing on the beaches of New England well into December.  This year I have a feeling we are not going to be so lucky.  Eko has a great waterproof/warm jacket for when the temperature drops, but I know that not everyone in the city uses pet-friendly ice melter.  This means that it is time to try the great paw-boot experiment once again.  Last time I attempted to get Eko to try boots he was not having it, but I think they are going to be a necessity this winter.  He already hurt his paw once so I want to make sure he is safely equipped to have a romping good time this winter.

Does your dog have winter boots?  If so, do you have any recommendations about brands/sizing/acclimation?  Any help would be much appreciated by me and my temporarily 3.5 legged sidekick. Thanks!

Oh, and Old Man Winter – Eko has a message for you too:
