Will And Eko Christmas Cards: Take One

Despite my best intentions, I have never managed to follow through with sending out Christmas cards.  Last year was Eko’s first Christmas and I thought it would be the perfect year to finally send out a card.  I wanted to send a photo of Eko with Santa, but unfortunately the “best” photo I got didn’t come out exactly as planned.

Rhodesian Ridgeback, pet adventure

I thought it best not to send a card where it looks like Eko is a demon elf being choked out by Santa

Last year’s disaster only strengthened my resolve, so this morning Eko and I tried a few different looks we might use for our card this year.

For our first photo we went with a fun look.  Eko wasn’t thrilled with his role as a Rhodesian Reindeer

“Will, let’s try something else”

Next up, we went with a more classic vibe:

Rhodesian Ridgeback, dog adventure

A hundred pounds of Christmas cheer

Something still seemed to be missing from our photo, so our last attempt copied the look from hip winter fashion ads you see in department stores:

Rhodesian Ridgeback, pet adventure

Eat your heart out Macy’s

I like all of our photos, but none of them are ready to be the first Will and Eko Christmas card.  It took us a while to figure it out, but none of the cards seem right because while we have sweet outfits and Eko’s good looks in our photos, we don’t have any holiday decorations.  Tonight we are headed out to fix that and will report back tomorrow with photos of a nice Christmas tree that hopefully Eko won’t try to eat!
