Based on readers’ responses from my post on Wednesday, it seems like a lot of dogs out there are certified blanket monsters. One reader, Emily, even joked that I should get Eko a Snuggie. At first I laughed, but then I got to thinking and realized that with Emily’s help I may just have stumbled upon the future of pet warmth technology. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Doggy Snuggie, or as we like to call it here at Marking Our Territory Inc., The Snoggy™!
Ok, so my prototype Snoggy may just be a backwards Snuggie, but hey, we’ll get there! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
I saw advisement for the dog snuggie on TV before Christmas. Good luck with the sweater. Our dog, Juley, loves her blankets too. She work it under sometimes she is totally covered too!
I’ve actually seen ‘snuggie’s for dogs while shopping. Might seem ridiculous, but, as you’ve pointed out, even 4 legged pets, that come with year round hair/fur, can get chilly. Love your posts, I always chuckle.
OMD Eko is the best Snoggy model ever…I’m still laughing Thanks for the video 🙂
I was wondering what breed(s)? He looks just like my 10 month old puppy!
I love it! I think you should start marketing The Snoggy!
OMG, this video is so cute!
I can’t believe Eko can move in that Snoggie yet he seems to get up on the couch with no problem.
This video is amaaazing! So so funny! 😉
Ah Will you made me laugh! Thanks!
OMG, you crack me up. Eko is so co-operative. I see someone has advised you that the Snuggie people are already on it….dang, I like the ‘Snoggie’ name so much.
I love the prototype! Even your paws are covered….. but how can you change the pages of your magazine?…. ah I know you have a page-changer, right?
We’ll take three. Do you take Visa?
Glad I tracked you down! What a fun blog and SUCH a charming dog. You need a video about the “dogs that burrow completely underneath the covers and don’t come out until spring.”
Hahahaha! love it!
Dr. Emily must truly love you and Eko to donate her Snuggy to the cause. I see Eko as a more Broadway Joe Namath type of Rigdeback, and hence, he would be more comfortable and warm wearing a full doggy length mink coat. Yeah PETA will file lawsuits, but whatever, they will need to deal with it. (Were any dinosaurs injured in the filming of this blog?)
I gotta get me one of those Snoggies! You are a brilliant inventor, Will!
