Having Trouble Sleeping? Eko Is Happy To Put You To Bed!

Keeping up with Eko is certainly not for the faint of heart.  A good night’s sleep, a tight-laced pair of sneakers and a big cup of coffee are all highly recommended if you want to have a chance at going the distance with the romping champ.

“Let’s play!  Think you can keep up?”

The other day, some friends spent just half of the day with Eko.  After we got back to the apartment, Eko was warmed up and ready to keep the party going.  Emily and my friends, however…

“Will, where do you find these amateurs?”

The saying goes, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.”  But Eko’s saying is, “AFTER you beat ’em, join ’em.”  Unfortunately, my beat-tired friends had left no room for Eko to join them on the couch in front of the fire, so he had to improvise.

After a bit of whining and nudging, Eko finally managed to wrest back his rightful place on the couch.

this is great practice for you and Emily when you have kids -sleep when they sleep – of course i do that now with the dogs (my son is grown up and takes care of himself now)- once they nap i try to squeeze one in two!

  3. Gizmo says:

I have to laugh…after a good long hike to “tire out the dog” he’s the one who gets to nap in the car while i’m the one who has to stay alert and drive…of course by the time we’re home i’m beat and Giz is all refreshed and ready to go…Dawgs!

  4. dailyspro says:

Great job tiring out your humans Eko!

  5. Marcela says:

Lol. Poor your friends and you. Eko sounds like my Alex. Not now, but years ago Alex had what I’d call an unlimited amount of energy. Such was her abundance of energy that I had to bike ride twice a week so she could run right next to me in order for her to spend some of that crazy energy:)

  6. That picture is so funny! Eko just standing there, with all the passed out friends sleeping behind him! They just can’t keep up with ya!

  7. Emma says:

Awww…such a bummer. I know when humans go for a walk with us and mom they usually never go again because it was too much for them, so we know the feeling.

  8. I agree 100% – maybe Eko could spend the day with me and we all could get the best sleep :o)

  9. Boomdeeadda says:

You always are so darn original Will !! Great post, made me laugh…as usual.

  10. Doggys Style says:

I would have been there, dead on the sofa too, getting old is not easy.

  11. Good job Eko – a happy human is a tired human:-)

  12. Sweet Eko you are just so smart!! Good job gettin’ your spot on the couch back. Hugs and nose kisses
