The Greatest Crisis In Any Dog’s Life

Fun-loving and adventurous, dogs generally have a carefree approach to life.  However, there is one major exception to that rule in my house. “Will, we’re running low on dog food.  This is the greatest crisis dogmanity has ever faced. I know I said

“Will, we’re running low on dog food.  This is the greatest crisis dogmanity has ever faced. I know I said that when we were low on food last month…and well every month, but I’m sure of it this time.”

Eko is generally uninterested in most of the stuff I do around the apartment but he insists on close supervision any time I bring home dog food.

“Will, you better not mess this up.”

After the food makes it safely into the container Eko likes to give me the “Hey why don’t you just take a walk and I’ll handle it from here” look

Another month, another crisis averted!

Comments for The Greatest Crisis In Any Dog’s Life

  1. running low on dogfood is a bad thing… but running low on ice cream too :o) I’m with the famous Marie Antoinette: If they have no kibble, let them eat Lobster!

  2. Eko has his priorities right – as long as there’s dog food, life is good! 🙂

  3. writetowag says:

Oh the…DOGMANITY!!!! I can see Eko wiping his head with his paw saying Shew!!!! Wonderful post!!!! Totally cracked me up…

  4. Tiffany F. says:

I’m surprised he’s not trying to distract you as you pour so that he gets some free, extra kibble. 😉

  5. joanb49 says:

You have it wrong on the :”Can’t bear to watch” caption. Eko was looking for falling kibble! There’s always a chance.

  6. Sage says:

Oh, my. Never, never run out around here either! Eko, you sure keep Will on his toes.

  7. Emmadog says:

LOL! I never worry about the food supply, but my sister is like Eko. She follows mom to the basement where we keep the food bags. She follows mom to the container every meal time, and she watches intently as mom fills the container, eating anything that misses the container and lands on the floor. Eko, you are adorable!

  8. Marcela says:

Lol. Eko is so smart:) When I bring food home like you do, Alex only supervises at the beginning of the process, after that she leaves, but if I have bacon or chicken skin, she’ll stay with me making sure that I put it in the fridge:)

  9. Boomdeeadda says:

“oh the dogmanity”….LOL x 1,000,000. You crack me up.

Wait, what’s that in the yard? Better go and see!! OK, Eko, the coast is clear!

  10. Eko you are one smart pup 🙂

  11. Zena says:

    Love his face!!

  12. Good job making sure your food landed safely in the container sweet Eko. You keep supervising that container and don’t let Will forget to fill it before it gets totally empty. Hugs and nose kisses

  13. Hi guys hope you both well 🙂 We had same situation this week where I kept delaying shopping as busy and then last night had to make a mad dash to shops as three boys were wanting food LOL. They got very special nice dinner as an apology

  14. Low on dog food!! No!! That is unacceptable. Looks like things are under control…. For now…. Stay alert, Eko.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  15. Eko, you are such a character. Just love your vigilance, watching to make sure the vital food requirements are well taken care of. That’s a mighty fine food container you have as well.

  16. Eko’s just so good, sitting there all patient! He’s such a doll 🙂 There’s no way we could fill up the feed bin with the boys in the room 😆

  17. wow, that was a really close call!! Good thing Eko was keeping a close eye on the proceedings 😉
