The Art Of The Pet Self-Portrait

We are living in the age of the self-portrait.  Nearly every site requires an avatar or profile photo, and thanks to a legion of smartphones and compact cameras it is easier than ever to have yourself be both the photographer and the subject of the photo.  But why should humans have all the fun?  After carefully studying “selfies” from around the web, Eko has put together the three best options for pets.

1.The Classic – Here Eko raises his paw above his head and looks up into the camera.  This old standby pose is a relic from the ancient days of flip-phone cameras but the style still holds up well today

2. The Artist – If you want to let other pets know you’re cool, make sure you take your selfie in black/white, cover part of the frame with your paw and look away from the lens

3. The Bathroom Mirror – Eko didn’t invent the rules, he just follows them – and for some reason a large number of self-portraits have to be taken in the bathroom mirror

Now, as to how Eko managed to take that photo in the bathroom without any opposable thumbs is a mystery for the ages…

In any event, if any pets out there don’t like the photos their humans are taking then there is no better time than now to take matters into your own paws!
