Sure, the grate looks pretty normal up close, but if you zoom out a little…
The fireplace takes up nearly an entire wall!
You could cook an Eko Stew in that pot
Lesson #2: We reviewed/updated the The Declaration of Independence
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness dog treats
Lesson #3: A historical reenactment of the Revolutionary War
Pretty sure Colonial Williamsburg is going to call Eko with a job offer any second now
Eko now knows about the Revolutionary War and you now know that my sense of humor is genetic – my dad picked up that tri-corner hat just for Eko!
OMP (Oh my pig!) I can’t breathe. I’m laughing so hard. Those are awesome Eko – totally awesome!! XOXO – Bacon
You can make a poster out of last picture – The Revolutionary Eko.
I share your dad’s love of history – I’m actually in an archaeological group and just love discovering what’s buried underfoot. I’m sure Eko would be a great help on digs, he could probably dig faster than all of us!
I love to got thru old houses and see how it use to be! Looks like the glasses were made for someone with a thicker lens on his right and you look good in it! LOL!
You have a full kitchen in that fireplace! Wooowoooo, Ku
Wow, what a fireplace/kitchen cooking area! It’s huge! And, that last pic? Too cute!
Love it! That is pawsome that your dad got Eko that hat! My Gramma sometimes brings me stuff like that. How fun!
the pursuit of dog treats – Yay! Your pictures are great , Eko! We had such a giant thingy too in my kitchen. Once a pigeon came down through the chimney ( not roasted) and we had a hornet colony in that thingy, so the staff placed a woodstove there.
LOVE that last pic of Eko!!
Haha, Eko is sooo AWESOME! So glad we found you guys!!
A history lesson disguised by Eko? Well played Will, Well played! Love the old house too!
Eko, you are a handsome devil in that new (old) hat! But stay away from the fireplace! They’re talking about Eko-stew! GAH!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Now That is what I call a fireplace! And I love that last picture of Eko especially; he must be one cooperative pup 😀
Your Dad must be one cool guy 🙂
This was great.
HA! loved that drummer. Your dad must be a great carpenter, his house looks very authentic. I can’t imagine how flippin hot it would have been with that giant fireplace going. Eko’s so compliant with your antics, what a dog! The glasses are priceless.
What a handsome boy you are Eko…all dressed up. Love your hat!
Love it 🙂 We are going through a history moment as well visiting old UK manor houses. Tomorrow we are having afternoon tea at Althorpe House (Lady Diana’s old family home and where she is laid to rest). I will write about it afterwards x
Love that last picture!! We also love history so we found this post very interesting. Hugs and nose kisses
