    You Go Eko !
    Good work Will !
My German Shepherd, was afraid of stairs, due to we live in a ranch house and no stairs.
He would go up and down a couple of stairs, but any more I had to encourage him. Then I noticed, if they were wood stairs with just the steps, it would make him more afraid, but concrete was a bit easier for him.
But when he was with my other dog, which raised him from a puppy, she was about 3, he would follow her anywhere.
She helped me train him and watched over him as he was her puppy, even when they got older.
So having another dog, works out great to ! As the older one teaches the younger one and helps keep the young one in line.
If you do get Eko a sister or brother, you will see what I am talking about, and Eko will be so proud of helping you train the new little one !
Again Thanks Will & Eko for your blog.
Have a Great Labor Day Weekend and stay out of trouble ! LOL

  4. Emmadog says:

Nice work! It would be nice to know why one railing is different from another in a dog’s mind! At least he has that fear conquered. Happy Labor Day weekend!

I share Eko’s fear, but no one has been able to get me to overcome it so far. In fact, some of the things they’ve tried have only made it worse! I can see Eko’s high level of trust in you – that’s a really special relationship you have with him. It’s so wonderful that you have the patience to help him like that. I sure would love to know why this balcony was so different in his eyes than other high levels. Have a fun Labor Day weekend!

  6. Paws To Talk says:

    Eko,

You are very brave for working on your fear! We aren’t afraid of heights as far as we know. Maybe if we ever get to rid in a helicopter, plan or hot air balloon we’ll find out? 🙂

  7. What a brave boy! Yesterday, the little girl upstairs parked her bike in front of the house. I was afraid to go outside, in case the bike was trying to kill me. Mom did not patiently help me. She said I was a screwball and dragged me past the bike. It didn’t kill me. And I got a treat.

    Love and licks,

  8. Awww. Poor Eko being all scared. Whee aren’t ever frightened of heights because whee always jump off the hoomans laps and chairs with confidence, knowing Mummy will catch us and lower us to the ground. She says she worries what would happen if she wasn’t paying attention and whee did fall! Well whee need to keep her on her toes!

Good to try and do a little thing that scares you everyday. At least that is what I tell Louise. I’m fearless – Sofie Bear.

  10. Oh Will, how sweet. I wish everyone was as kind, gentle and patient as you are. Way to go, Mr. E.

  11. Melody says:

It is great that you helped him. My RRs do not like walking down the stairs on the rail side but will do it if needed with the same droopy RR face E has in the video.

He is gorgeous and I love your blog.

  12. your videos are always the best! I share each and every one with my husband who loves them as well. This one was particularly adorable. Well done to YOU and Mr.Eko!!!!!! Now, if you could only cure MY fear of heights!

  13. Boomdeeadda says:
