Sun bathing at all costs. Including using the wall as a pillow
But our new bench provides the perfect perch for one of the pups’ favorite activities
Neighborhood watch!
Eko and Penny love to keep an eye on all the passerbys
It appears neighborhood watch is extremely taxing, because the guards take frequent breaks in our new chairs.
It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it
Nothing sneaks by Eko. Unless he’s taking a nap.
Even “Wild Thing” Penny can’t resist taking a break.
“Don’t judge me, Will. A girl needs her beauty rest.”
Recently I’ve noticed the pups have been extra vigilant. But in the wrong direction.
For some reason, the pups were intently staring out the side window which faces our building
I shrugged at first, but my curiosity got the better of me and I took a closer look out of the side window. Turns out you can see/smell my neighbors’ dining room from our front window and the pups were inviting themselves to dinner.
I tried to inform the pups they’re supposed to be Neighborhood Watch. Not neighbor watch, but they don’t seem to get the distinction. Now that we have furniture, it looks like it’s time to invest in some blinds for the windows.
The barking guy looks cool! Hope he is careful on the window. Was the Weimaraner a girl? (just asking LOL) Have a great monday and thanks for inviting me to meet your neighborhood!
Great way to give directions…..visiting you is more like a treasure hunt than a standard visit…..LOL

“This pup lounges like “The Most Interesting Man in the World” while watching us walk by” Love this..Glad I’m not the only one who associates animals with people. I always wonder what my dog would sound like if she could talk haha!
BOL!! and so clever!
Aw!!! I love the one hanging out of the upstairs window!!
Those are the most adorable landmarks ever. It’s like a GPS-of-cuteness!
You are so right, us dogs and Mom know where all the neighborhood watch participants live and when they are visible. Just one more thing that makes going for walks so much fun!
Haha! That first guy looks like a sweetheart, and I know exactly what you mean. We know which houses will give us shrill barks, which will have wet Beagle noses poking through the fence, and which has the old Golden Retriver that will thump his tail on the porch a few times as we walk by. Inside, my Romeo peeks out of a corner window that’s hard to see from the street, so I think he’s a pretty sneaky spy. But outside, he has a favorite corner of the yard he runs to every time he hears someone interesting coming along.
Really great post Will, I love seeing all the boys in the hood. I always notice pets on walks too. Everyone of them waiting for their peeps to come home with hugs and love.
Delightful, post, Will.
