Will And Eko’s Bed & Breakfast

Eko and I have hosted a number of pups in the apartment since we moved to Chicago.  My mom’s dog, Scout, was first.  Next we hosted Eko’s old pal Riley. And most recently we had my brother and his pup Dutch in town for a visit.

It took a day for the pup-cousins to settle down, but they got along great and were happy to share the couch together

In fact, before my brother left it was a veritable snuggle-fest.  But just behind the couch lurked another figure…

Hey, wait a minute, who is that?

Cash!

It’s Cash! Our friend Neal’s pup.  Neal is out of town for the week so Cash is crashing with us.  His sideways ears crack me up

Though Cash and Eko have met and played together before, Cash is the first four-legged guest at our B&B who Eko has not known his whole life.  Between that unfamiliarity, Neal being away and all the commotion I could tell that Cash was a bit anxious.  I think having so many guests at once also overwhelmed Eko a bit as well.

“We running a hotel here, Will?”

Looking back, I wish I took Eko to meet Cash outside so it could have been a less stressful meeting for them both.  I wrongly thought that they knew each other well enough.  Between some coaxing love for Cash and some reassuring love for Eko, both pups seem to be much more at ease.

All our guests relaxing

James and Dutch headed out yesterday so now Cash is our only guest.  Cash has been here since Sunday and in just two days he is a lot more comfortable and relaxed.  Same goes for Eko.  TLC goes a long way!  We here at Will and Eko’s B&B live to serve, so hopefully we can show Cash a great time.  Any tips for how we can make him feel more at home?

Comments for Will And Eko’s Bed & Breakfast

  1. That’s ther perfect Dog-Hotel, please send me your address if I will visit Chicago :o) btw: thinks that’s the only hotel in town where dogs are allowed on the sofa LOL

  2. We could open a doggy B&B chain for the midwest! When we have new/newer friends staying with us, the first thing we do is go for a nice walk together, that seems to release tensions and encourage some doggie bonding. Glad you are having lots of fun, it must be extra fun since you are normally an only dog. 🙂

Me and Nalle would love to stay at Hotel Eko, but we’d have to bring Mama!

  4. Victoria says:

looks like he is fitting in just fine now – we had a visitor for awhile and started her outside with my two dogs -kind of let my dogs bring her in when they were ready- seemed to help but i can’t guarantee it as its the only time we have had another pup visiting us (we fostered her for two weeks – i’d have kept her but Rigby was just too jealous and frankly bullied by the two girls so i had to give her to her adopted dad)

  5. serve them breakfast in bed? 🙂

  6. Look at how easily you manage multiple doggies! ^_^ Have you thought about expanding your FURmily?!! Whee know our hoomans have been discussing whee might expand ours when whee (hopefully) move house after Pigmass!

Lol. Will, I did not know you and Eko decided to open a B&B. A suggestion to make your doggie guests feel more comfortable: long walks. They’ll love you for it.

  8. Mags Corner says:

Well, now that is just cool that you and Eko now have a B&B. Looks like a place to have tons of fun to us. Hugs and nose kisses

  9. Boomdeeadda says:

Cash is a little charmer and with those puppy eye’s I’d be wasting no time inviting him up to the boudoir so he could sleep on the bed. That might make him feel loved and welcomed.

  10. Oh my three dogs I bet they had a whale of a time entertaining each other .
