Where there’s fire, there’s Eko

And he always finds the space in front of the space heater

He’s no scientist, but Eko knows heat rises.  So when I leave the apartment he heads upstairs to warm up on his bed

No fire, no heater and the bedroom door is closed?  No problem.  Eko is an expert at creating his own heating station

Perfect!

If like us you need to keep warm, remember to find the warmest place in your house.  Where’s that?  Wherever your pet is, of course!

We’re almost up to double digit temperatures here in Chicago, practically beach weather!

The warmest place in our house is cuddled up with Daisy….wherever that is! Of course, she and I can usually be found snuggled underneath several layers of warm fleece blankets – that’s her favorite warming station too! 🙂

  4. you are so lucky to have a fireplace in an apartment! Wish we had one! It is gonna be in the 40s this weekend! Can’t wait!

  5. I have also folded up my large fleece blanket and Cody would sleep on that. If by chance he wasn’t on the bed.

  6. Ogee says:

    Balmy….whoo hoo!

  7. Mags Corner says:

Cuddled with Chancy is the warmest place around here. He loves to get under covers with me too and we both stay real toasty that way. That 4th picture is so sweet love those beautiful eyes. Hugs and nose kisses

  8. Sage says:

We haven’t had the cold temps the rest of the country is NOT enjoying, but Sage can sure find that warm spot too!

  9. Boomer has a favorite chair right by the fire that he likes to crawl into every day while Dottie makes a little nest on our bed… but the warmest spot for us humans is right underneath them!

  10. Emma says:

My window in my cuddle bed in the afternoon sunshine is my fav! Bailie and cat bro Bert curl up by the fireplace most nights. No matter what, snuggling is always a toasty activity!

  11. Misaki says:

Will, would you please give a link to the Petcentric website for your blog. I need my Eko fixes …

  14. Stay warm guys… the news reports we are getting here in Australia and from mum’s friends in Chicago is that it is super chilly. Brrrrr….. think I’ll stick to Sydney weather.

  15. My Ridgeback, Nala, tracks the sun all day by moving from place to place in the living room. That’s when she is happiest. She was pretty happy to finally get a walk in yesterday, it warmed up to 15. But when we went to visit at a favorite dog friendly store she refused to go back outside. She dug in her toes and wouldn’t budge until I reminded her that she had to go home to get dinner.

  16. Clowie says:

The cats are always in the warmest spots. With my thick coat I prefer to keep away from the fire.
