Making the best of Murphy’s Law

It all went so much better it my head. Doesn’t it always though? I was supposed to be writing this post from my desk after a good night’s sleep and a rejuvenating morning shower in our new apartment. Unfortunately, at the moment I do not have a desk, a bed
It all went so much better it my head. Doesn’t it always though? I was supposed to be writing this post from my desk after a good night’s sleep and a rejuvenating morning shower in our new apartment. Unfortunately, at the moment I do not have a desk, a bed or a shower. Rainy weather delayed our movers on their previous jobs so we got bumped until this afternoon. And to think, I hired movers for the furniture to make our lives easier this time! Eko has rather enjoyed the situation at least.

We’ve enjoyed many episodes of Eko vs The Dragon*

*(vacuum cleaner)

And when you’re Eko, there’s always furniture if you do it right

I think he kind of really enjoys this actually!

And while we don’t have a bed, someone remembered we do have bedding…

I can’t even be mad, it’s too cute. And all rules have gone out the window at this point

The new plan is hopefully to fix the broken shower head and have furniture by this evening. I’m sure there will be plenty of misadventure along the way but lucky Eko is here to help us smile and make the best of it.

Have a good weekend, hopefully we’re back to our regularly schedule programming on Monday!

  1. Ha, Eko, you are a lapdog like me! I remember that times, I was lost between boxes and bags with two big dogs while my husband was busy to stretch a wire through the whole chaos to check his mails. I cross my thumbs for you that you are back to normal soon. Have a good weekend.

Moving is no fun. But, getting new carpeting in one’s home isn’t a picnic either. Mommy was home on spring break when we had it installed (last time Mommy and Daddy stayed home for a spring break, BTW) and the installers had just unrolled it partway and had to get something from their truck. I thought it was a perfect time to indicate my displeasure at having my Mommy time disrupted by leaving a liquid dividend on the brand new carpet. After all, the carpet didn’t smell right. Mommy was NOT amused. Hope you get even more comfy in your new home, Eko!–Steffi

i adore your cute Eko photos – eko vs the vacuum is very close to muffin vs the vacuum at my house always good for a laugh and sleeping on your bedding well thats better than a bed! Have a great weekend in your new place!

Eko Dude, you sure is smart 🙂 Nothing ever goes to plan, so we know how you feel. Love the new apartment 🙂 xxoxx

  5. I’m glad to see Eko got a little yoga in during the stressful move. We moved 4-5 times in the first few years we were in CA, our dogs got pretty used to it but it is a pain. Glad it’s almost over for you.

  6. Dogs are the best and keeping a “pawsitive” attitude. Okay, that was not even punny.

I’m done, I promise. Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly today.

  7. Emmadog says:

That is a real bummer. Good you aren’t on a real tight time schedule. Hopefully you will get nicely settled on the weekend!

  8. At least you’re there and you’ve got a plan.

  9. Human furniture is the cuddliest kind! Comfort is at the forefront, right, E.? That’s how you roll.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  10. Best of luck, Will.

  11. Eko (and you and Emily) appear to be making the best of an “iffy” situation with this move! I bet by end of weekend you’re all settled (well, mostly anyway) and back to your regularly scheduled programming!

  12. Sage says:

It never fails! Best laid plans and all…. At least Eko had a relaxing evening on his comfy sofa! 🙂

  13. Mags Corner says:

Oh, yes sweet Eko knows where the most comfortable furniture is. 🙂 Hope you have furniture and shower by now. Love the pictures. Hugs and nose kisses

  14. Love that last pic. So cute!!

  15. Hope it gets all sorted out soon. Love the space, looks like you’ll all be happy there, ESPECIALLY when Eko’s sister arrives. And I’ve got to say Eko vs The Dragon sounds like an awesome game. Who’s currently ahead in the win-to-loss ratios?

  16. Misaki says:

you’ll get there in the end. When mummy and daddy moved into their first flat they used empty boxes as tables and had a blow-up sofa lol

  17. pawedblog says:

Aww leave it to Eko to make the best of any situation though! Paws and fingers crossed you’ve had better luck since… this moving lark is never easy is it?
Hugs, Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x

  18. Caitlin says:

We’re moving at the end of the month (to a different unit in the same building), but I’m dreading it!!

  19. Eko looks very serious as a lapdog 😉

  20. Boomdeeadda says:

Dear expert: We’ll be moving ourselves in about a month. No packing has begun, should I be worried? LOL I must get going. You’re so darn organized. New home, new puppy on the way, Eko’s daily entertainment to capture on film, blogs to write…..gads!
