As a young pup, Penny fit quite nicely in Emily’s lap
The fit is a bit more snug these days but the gang makes it work
These lap dogs never miss an opportunity to snuggle with Emily
Blankets? Who needs blankets when you have these two?
Even when playing, these two stick close to Emily – who herself is adapt at casually answering emails while fending off two large mammals
Emily and her two shadows
My three favorite creatures
I’m with Eko and Penny, how could you not love Emily?
Only two days to go until the wedding! I guess I should probably look for a suit…
…just kidding, Emily!
Auggie is the BEST woofie cousin EVER!! Once again, BRILLIANT move letting Eko adjust to the new little one on neutral turf!!! Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!!! Love to all!
you are sure living the dream – Eko, a new puppy and Auggie (hey where is Scout these days?) – lots of puppy love coming your way!
That household is in danger of a serious cuteness overload!
OMG!!! Could she be any more adorable?? Almost makes me want another one until I remember needle teeth and distructo man. Magic just finally settled down at three yrs.
I’m guessing Eko will bond totally in a short while.. It takes a bit to figure out the needle teeth defense.
Love that she looks so much like Eko when she sleeps and she and Auggie are just adorable together!! Can’t wait to see her snuggled up with Eko when you get her home to Chicago. How about Rowdy for a name? You used it to describe her in your post yesterday 🙂
haha Eko you are so patient.
What a wonderful bunch of buddies you have there! And talk about cuteness overload – WOW!! I think those videos you’re going to post next week might just put me into a cuteness coma. 😉 Those of us living here at and near the Jersey shore just want to warn you about the traffic nightmare you’re about to drive into – but you’re originally from here, so I guess you know how ugly traffic gets from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hopefully you’ll be going either north or south of here! Have a great weekend, all of you!
LOVE!!!! Eko being indifferent is actually great! That trait will come in handy when he wants a break from his new sister! One thing I always train the dogs to do – leave the room if the activity around you is too much. This goes for interaction with each other or when we have visitors/kids around. I always try to be the one to give the cue that one of the dogs needs a break, but training them it’s ok to walk away is golden! Cuteness overload for sure!
Will, it’s official your blog cannot get any better. First handsome Eko, now adorable Auggie, and the new puppy. You win!
That being said I’m glad everyone is still settling in. I’m sure you’ll pick a great name and I’ll eagerly await the introduction.
You all enjoy the long weekend and have a safe trip home. Can’t wait to hear and see more about the new little one. Hard to believe our puppy will be a year old already next month! The time goes so fast!
Great photos!!!
Pam
So much puppy (and doggy) love. You and your mom must be having SO MUCH FUN. Can’t wait for puppy name announcement (and videos!!)
Auggie is the best bud ever! He takes the heat off Eko. Name day is closing in. Yay!
I was wondering if I’d missed the naming! Anxious for the videos!
Whee can’t wait to find out the pup’s name! She is just too cute!
You’ll have to take her to visit Auggie lots, he looks smitten!

Hey, Will. I was sitting here absorbing photos of Eko and “the pup” together, when it hit me! Where is it written that she has to have a feminine name anyway? That being said, she looks and acts so much like Eko, how does Ergo sound? I’ve read that most dogs respond best to two-syllable names, so that’s just a bit of advice while you’re thinking about it. At least see how she responds to each of the names on your list. Not at the same time, but during a span of time when she and Eko can talk it over between them.. After all . . . .
Your trip home will, no doubt, be interesting with the two of them really doing some serious bonding, while Dad drives. Be careful, you need to get one those signs for your car that says “BABY ON BOARD”. lol
Have a great holiday!
Dottie and Tuffy-Cat
Cuteness overload. Between Auggie and your ‘little girl’ (that’s so sweet for you to refer her as), I’m a happy camper tonight. Auggie looks really soft.
I’m glad Eko is mildly inquisitive, that’s a good sign 😀 So darn excited for you guys. Have a great long weekend.
OMD that is absolute cuteness overload! Wish I could reach through the computer and hug them!
yes, that was my first thought too Auggie: can you keep her? I’m curious what name you will pick. Has the breeder given her one?
Oh Auggie!! You are such a love!
I love your laid back approach to Eko getting to know his little sister, you are so right… there’s plenty of time for that! I’m sure he’s just as bowled over by her cute as the rest of us are!
Can’t WAIT to hear her name and see video!! In the meantime though have a brilliant holiday weekend!
Hugs, Carrie and Pups x
They are all so cute! What is Auggie’s breed?
We are in love with lil’ girl and we are sure that Eko will be her number one fan in no time. Congratulations!
She doesn’t have a care in the world. Great photos! Excited to hear the name.
She and Auggie look so cute together.
can’t wait to hear the little one’s name!
A-dorable!!!
What sweet, sweet pictures! Hugs and nose kisses
Back from Holiday so looking forward to seeing how the lady is doing 🙂
you are such a woofmantic, I am sure Emily your pawfreewifetobe is thrilled with this diary
That are the bestest blankets ever… think even PETA would agree :o) I hope you find a perfect suit, otherwise you have to pick one of your howl-o-ween cotumes, I suggest the surgeon costume, it looks spectacular :o)
I do hope you wear the lion’s head to the wedding!
Now stop blogging and start getting nervous!
Great pics of your 3 favorite creatures….Emily always looks so radiant and beautiful and your two little pups looks so calm and sweet -even when they are playing on top of her! Good luck on Saturday – should be the best day of your lives
We are sooooooooooooooo happy for you that we are bursting!!!!! Can’t wait to see photos!! 🙂
So many memories to cherish! So much wonderfulness to come in the future. 🙂
Will the puppies be part of your wedding?
Lol. Will, you are a comedian. You better be ready.
What are Eko and Penny wearing to the wedding? Such fun photos of your favorite three “creatures”.
It looks like you’ll never get near her.
I finally figured out that you’re doing this tribute to Emily this week because, as the groom, you only have to show up. Meanwhile, I’ll bet Emily is running around like crazy getting things done. Smart move on your part. When you show this much appreciation for her with the world, how can she get aggravated (as most brides do this close to the wedding) with you for not being as busy as she is?
Love the pics, FYI. And you are a lucky guy. Emily is lovely and has a beautiful smile.
Privacy issues aside Will, I do hope you’ll post a couple of photos of your wedding at some point – most of us feel like we’ve made this journey with you and will be “guests in absentia” so the least you could do is show off your beautiful bride and yourself all gussied up for the big event!
Pam
Three beautiful creatures is right – wow how lucky are you! Not long now, I’m sure your apartment is abuzz with anticipation and excitement (and for the pups perhaps a little bit of what’s going on).
Happy Day 3 of Emily Week. Love your ‘blankies.’ 🙂
Not matter how nice your suit will be, Emily will definitely outshine you the whole day! As it should be for any bride 🙂 Good luck to all of you this weekend. We’re all happy for you guys!
ohhhh getting closer, you getting nervous yet?
Gorgeous creatures!
I got here a day late – tomorrow’s the big day for you!! Best of luck, and remember to post pictures!! 😀
