When Penny arrived, Eko graciously shared his perch
There was plenty of room for a sprawling snuggle
Like I said, there was plenty of room. But puppies have a habit of doubling in size every few weeks. The futon situation has become increasingly dire. You could say it’s a real cliff hanger.
From this angle, things look comfy
But when I stood up I could see something was clearly amiss
Namely, Penny’s legs
As gravity slowly dragged Penny off the futon, she woke up quite confused and struggled to reposition herself
She managed to claw her way back into her nap, but for how long?
Here in my little corner of the world a growing problem is, well, a growing problem. Here’s hoping these two are comfortable with a shrinking futon. I’ll be interested to see how this one plays out.
Uh oh……I see a near future blog titled “Futon Wars”…….. 😉
Pam
How can you live with this cuteness, Will?!!
Oh dear…the plot lengthens hahahh..all I can say is I have a hideous Futon you are welcome too..i kinda hoped t would fall of the moving truck but alas it clung on for grim death…I have managed to relegate it to the MANTIQUE barn for hubby..i will bring it over….;) hugs Fozziemum pee ess too cute of course!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!! Oh I’m sorry Will, but your growing problem has given us one of the biggest laughs of the morning – and a lot of cuteness overload as well! I guess you’re going to have to turn an entire room into one big mattress-covered affair for this adorable pair to share more comfortably! 😉 Either that or one day Eko and Penny will team up and take over the bed and shove you and Emily onto the futon…. 😀 Have a fabulous 4th weekend!
hahaha love the legs sticking out, time to get another futon
I’m not sure if I could do anything like my job or housework with this pups in the house. Think I would do nothing than to watch them… oh and I probably would take photos or videos, of course :O)
Oh my goodness that was a fantastic set of photos! I can’t wait to see how this plays out… I sense a furniture purchase coming. Do they make extra-long futons?? lol
Oh snorts. That is a predicament. Like how I outgrew my little toddler bed and had to get a twin. I see some changes in your future. XOXO – Bacon
That’s a very sweet problem to have! I hope the two of them manage to sort something out. Perhaps a time share of the futon?
That sure made me laugh, little Penny’s legs BOL xxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Poor Penny, she has her head in a dangerous position in that one shot too…hope Eko doesn’t have any gas issues! Space can get tight real quick and we know all to well that bed for bigger dogs take up lots of floor space too. You may need a bunk bed option somehow.
Loosen up the wallet. Penny needs her own and she needs to pick it out. Never pick out something with a design for a female yourself, she’ll hate it, guaranteed.
Since it’s a futon, Eko and Penny may ask you to lay it flat.
well it might be time to get a bigger futon and get a rolling laptop stand so you can join the fracas on the futon
looks like someone might need a loveseat 🙂
She is growing so fast! Might be time for a trundle bed!
Is there enough clearance under the futon? If so, buy a twin size thick, thick memory foam, cover with their blankets and stick it under the futon, voila, bunk bed. My son’s little mutt loved her little bed under the coffee table, sort of a hide out and a safe haven.
i think you need a bigger sofa!
We were just saying yesterday how fast Penny is growing…you’re gonna have to come up with a solution to those sleeping arrangements soon Will, just sayin’ 😉
Wally & Sammy
Lol. I had a smile from ear to ear throughout the time it took me to read and look at your pics:-) Happy 4th!
They need a bigger chair 🙂
[…] I’ve used the futon and how the pups share it as a way to record Penny’s growth. As you can see in those two links, the futon became quite […]
