“Will, let me see that thing. You sure it’s not a forgery?”
As I failed to do during elementary school spelling bees, Penny got up in front of the class and nailed all the commands. Penny’s classmates all passed with flying colors and each of the pups got to pick out their own graduation present from a pile. Penny’s choice was quite fitting.
A little devil for my little devil!
And no graduation party would be complete without cake:
Penny performed her disappearing treat magic trick
These past six weeks have only confirmed my belief that puppy classes are an invaluable tool in raising a well behaved and well socialized dog. The material isn’t groundbreaking, but for your puppy the experience certainly is. Practicing teamwork/commands and socialization in structured environment has helped set Penny and I up for future success.
There’s plenty more to learn, but thanks to Joanna and the team at Anything is Pawzible we have a great foundation to build on
I will certainly miss how well behaved Penny always was after class
I’m looking into additional classes, but for now the plan is to keep practicing and putting in the work to help Penny be the best pup she can be. Our next challenge? Perfect loose leash walking. (*Deep breath*) Here goes nothing!
I love the pic of her sleeping – what an angel! Congrats to you and Penny – before you know it she will be a star among all of her puppy friends – well she already is w/you and Eko and Emily
Congrats little devil! bet you would be the best in a cake-contest… do they have such contests in your class?
Yay! Way to go, Penny (and Will)! Keep up the great work. And never grown out of those wonky ears…they’re adorable.
Our Rottie/Chow mix was the “Top” student in his puppy class. Too bad he didn’t always remember the training. His “dad” let him get away with more the me.
Congratulations precious Penny!!! Well done YOU!!! I have no doubt that you, Penny and Eko can handle ANYTHING that comes your way!
YAY! The graduate takes a well-earned nap!
Pam and Sam
Congratulations Will and Penny. I know from experience that these classes are a great way to start your furry kid on the right track. It also forms a bond, stronger in my opinion, between handler and dog.
Congratulations Penny! And you know, she really does look like she’s afraid it is a forgery in that first picture.
Puppy classes start in about two weeks for us … I mean not that my little demon/dog needs them or anything.
Congrats. Graduating from puppy class earns one a “dogdorate” so be sure to tell Penny to use that to impress the other dogs at the park!
Congratulations to Penny and all!!! 😀
We also have one of those devil toys – Zoey chewed a horn off and promptly ate it XD
Eko and Penny should both go for their CGC! Penny is too young, but I bet Eko could nail it without practice like I did. Bailie is trying again this weekend. She has been practicing hard, so we shall see.
I forgot, Congratulations! Bailie especially sends Milkbone dreams and stolen laundry wishes to the new grad!
Don’t look at me-I flunked.
Aww congratulations to all of you!! Well done, Penny!
Hugs, Carrie and Pups x
Oh Penny, I am so proud of youwoowooooo! I never got to go to puppy school, but it looks like it was lots of fun tooowooowooooooo!
Congratulations! How about an Agility Class? They are great fun for everyone. Hobbes loves learning all the tasks and obstacles! He whines in his crate for his turn to run the course and is sound asleep before we leave the parking lot to go home!
Congratulations Penny! I had no doubts she’d graduate with flying colors….along with her sweet flying ears! 😉
Congratulations, Penny! I’m as proud of you as if you were my own. In the mean time Tuffy will have to do with the things I’ve taught him. Like you, he is really, really good when he’s asleep. I know your mom, dad, and Eco are equally proud, but more so happy about the transition you’ve gone through. Patience makes perfect – for all of you.
Well done, Miss Penny! We never doubted you for a minute! He! He! BTW, love the list on the fridge – might do one for my kids “don’t pounce on your brother when he is asleep!” He, he again!
Trevor got his bronze Canine Citizens award two weeks ago and I agree, the commands and what you learn can easily be done at home but the socialisation and interaction is worth absolute gold, especially for my horribly under socialised rescue dog!
Woohoo! Congrats Penny!! 🙂
Pawesome!! Looking forward to finally send Donna to basic obedience class too, LOL…1.5 years late!
And congratulations for getting the graduation cake, Penny!
Congrats! You should be very proud 🙂 She is such a pretty girl too! We are also workingon losse leash walking with Roo. Sometimes she’s so good I can’t even believe it, but other times she cannot be convinced that pulling will not in fact result in moving forward. Good luck to you guys!
Well done that girl!
Congrats sweetheart on graduating puppy class. Go out and have some puppy fun.
Well deserved Penny 🙂
