[VIDEO] Why Blog about Pets?

Over the years I’ve had countless people ask me the “Five W’s” about Marking Our Territory. The first four are easy to answer. Who? A knucklehead and his two dogs What? A blog Where? Chicago When? Monday through Friday, rain or shine Why? Now here’s where things get interesting. Why blog? Why about dogs?
Over the years I’ve had countless people ask me the “Five W’s” about Marking Our Territory. The first four are easy to answer. Who? A knucklehead and his two dogs What? A blog Where? Chicago When? Monday through Friday, rain or shine Why? Now here’s where things get interesting. Why blog? Why about dogs? What do I hope to accomplish? I took some time recently to think about these questions and here’s what I came up with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRt3U-VxmEg Thanks to everyone who passes along some of that pet-love love here in the comments, on your own blog, or out in the world!

Comments for [VIDEO] Why Blog about Pets?

  1. Great video! I love your blog! I remember the first post I read. It was the one where you tried to get Eko into a box before you started to your journey. would be great to re-blog some of your adventures from the past :o)

  2. Awww whee loved your video! When people ask why whee blog whee say whee are in it for the treats! Mummy gets us lots of new things to review and test so it’s good fun blogging. Whee like to think whee can share big issues and help other animals too. Whee might not change the world either but whee going to leave our pawprints on peoples hearts and compawters!

Sometimes when time is tight, Mom and I wonder why we feel compelled to do our blog, but as with you, we love it for one thing! There is nothing better than dogs and humans going through life together and we also love to share our lives in the hope that others will enjoy their dogs just as much. We love your blog and would be so sad if it was no more, so we hope you three keep on going for many, many years!

  4. fredrieka says:

I am more interesting then most humans woof!

  5. I am searching for the “LOVE” button! This is amazing! Everything you said and all the pictures and the wit with which you narrated it 🙂 Truly amazing 🙂 So happy I get to read your adventures everyday. You three make my day EVERYday. I look forward to reading your updates during my lunch break. I love both Eko and Penny – such great dogs and so well behaved and loving.

  6. Elyse says:

I’m going to add to the chorus of cheers for your blog and for your two companions along with one for you and Emily.

I discovered you by accident (science experiment video with Eko) not too long after my dog Cooper died. It was wonderful having Eko as my very own dog for a few minutes every day. I needed that fix.

Now that I have a growing puppy myself, I continue to read/watch and learn from your blog. Partly it’s your positive attitude and partly is that your dogs, like mine and like everybodys’ are humor filled love sponges that I can’t get enough of. And I have gotten some fun training tips from you. But I STILL won’t let Duncan on the couch!

I’d also love to see some of the old ones — it would be a blast!

  7. Victoria says:

I have followed your adventures from the start and i so enjoy getting your daily blogs – its enriched my life and Muffin’s and Rigby’s – i find you funny, witty and informative and Eko, and Penny – funny, witty and just plain adorable (that goes for Emily too). Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to showing everyone how much better your life can be with a great pet by your side.

  8. Love connecting with you and everyone in this wonderful dog community. I always enjoy reading your blog and keeping up with Eko and Penny’s adventures! Dogs are the best so it’s great to share that love and passion with others. Have a great weekend!

  9. The love of a dog is priceless, Will – and so is your blog! You and your brood – and the everyday stories you tell – bring a smile to my dial every day (still giggling over the recent picture of Emily on the couch surrounded by dogs!) I, too, pick up some great training tips for Jet along the way – so thanks for all that! Keep up the great work! xoxoxox

Will, sitting in the airport in Tulsa, Ok at the end of a business trip….this was THE PERFECT happy entertainment! You and your sweet and funny pups are awesome. Can’t wait to get home to my Ridgeback – nothing like their greeting when you have been gone for a few days (or hours)!!!

  11. Kyla says:

I’m stumped. What big league park is that?

Dogs will be there for you no matter what. They bring such joy to our lives, I love that you bring so much joy to theirs and share it with us. I always feel better after reading one of your posts.

  15. Great video Will and we could not agree with you more. Hugs and nose kisses

  16. Great video……we love your blog and hearing about all of your adventures as we all travel this road called “animal love and care” together. We blog for fun of course and rarely have anything “serious” but then life can be TOO serious sometimes so a giggle here and there is nice. We get that and more from your blog…….it’s a wonderful road all of us pet bloggers are traveling together don’t you think?

    Hugs, Pam and Sam

  17. Will we love you guys because you are positive karma every day! Pet lovers have bigger hearts and sharing is part of the joy 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  18. Cathy & Banjo says:

My husband and I are big fans of your blog. Not only are you doing a wonderful job of bringing up your pups to be model doggie citizens, but you are giving them a fun and active life full of adventures that any dog would envy. Keep up the amazing work (and fun)!

  19. I held on to this for DAYS and finally could view it. I am soooooooo happy that I did! Thank YOU for all of the joy you bring to ALL of us!!! You are by far, my favorite pet blog…….BY FAR!!! We all love you in our home!!!

  20. Another pawsome video, Will! You do such inspiring and technically terrific posts. Your blog continues to inspire the pet owner and blogger in me. Thank you! 😉

  21. You do a great job, Will 🙂

  22. Carol Conner says:

I have been owned by ridgebacks for 30 years and yet I still learn from Eko, Penny, and you. Not only does the blog make me laugh, it also reminds me that my guys need quality time and adventure. Thanks Will, for brightening my day!
