I call this one “the surveyor.” Eko’s default face as he looks over the beach
Eko’s “ohmygoshyouaresoannoying” exasperated face comes up when Penny won’t stop bugging him
I love how this photo captures both Penny’s exuberance and the other dog’s uncertainty about the nutjob on his left
The shared excitement on their faces here is great. The pose would be perfect for the poster of a buddy-cop flick
And when it comes to dog facial expressions, the crazier the tongue, the happier the pup!
An exhausted pup is a happy pup
The exact moment at which Penny realized she may have tried to turn on a bit too steep of an angle
Even from the side, a pup’s face can say it all. Can’t you just hear Penny politely begging for a treat?
The pups got in a good run yesterday, so their faces will remain happily buried in the blankets on the couch through the storm. My legs are still a bit sore from Sunday’s race so that plan suits me just fine and makes this made-for-radio face of mine smile!
your photos are great! I specially like the second last one, that’s what they should show behind the word “power” in all lexica :o)
Probably, some of my favorite pictures would be of Neeka and Khoi playing “bitey-face.” Unfortunately, the game moves so quickly the shots would be a blur. Do Eko and Penny play that? It can be alarming seeing those teeth flashing with the obligatory play growling, but it’s undoubtedly their favorite game next to keep-away.
Oh, and when you get enough of your storm, could you send it out west? We really could use it. Thanks. It’s still in the 90s here. We’re done with this weather.
fabulous photos! The best one? Buddy cop flick!!
IT would be hard to pick a favorite from these — Cop buddies or turning angle would be too close to call!
You can always add a cheetah in to the mix! Can you imagine Penny and Eko with this baby cheetah??!!

the facial expressions do say it. Great shots – and perfect day for you all to put your feet up and just relax.
Their expressions always say so much. Love each and every one of these!!… but particularly that uncertain playmate Penny found 🙂
Hugs, Carrie & Pups x
Dogs really are masters of body language, as these wonderful photos demonstrate! Seeing beach pictures makes me yearn for the warmth of summer (already). And say, I left a message on yesterday’s post, but many of my comments on blogs weren’t appearing. What I said, and will say now, is that your Chicago marathon time was excellent! (It took me almost 6:00 to do the Indy marathon, LOL.) 🙂
Gotta love those crazy faces!
That tongue has gone rogue. There’s no reining it in now!
Love the photos and that one of Penny taking a turn too fast is priceless!
Some awesome expression pics. Mom says we do have some good ones, but don’t always get them with the camera.
wooof love them all
What about the licking of the chops saying “feed me”?
Stay warm and dry guys 🙂
Ha ha my boys have different faces impressions also and tones in their meows LOL. Hope you are well over there 🙂
Whee love all those expressions. Mummy likes it when whee get really settled on her and whee do a pouting face and purse our lips slightly. It makes her giggle!
xxxx
Great beach photos, the burnout one is my favorite.
