But mostly it was this. Lots of this.

From dawn to dusk, for six straight days, the three pup circus dashed, crashed and danced their way around the house.

After a short rest in front of the fire each night the romping would begin once again

The pups slept Sunday night, piled into the car Monday morning and slept for twelve more hours. When we arrived in Chicago they went for a short walk, ate dinner and immediately went to their beds. This morning they ate again and haven’t moved since.

We’ll stretch our legs later today, but for now I’m enjoying a few moments of golden silence. It’s good to be home!

sounds like fun all around! and a tired pup is usually a happy pup – don’t you think?

  2. Emmadog says:

Mom loves it when we are totally worn out. We don’t mind either because it means we had tons of fun.

It was the first time I actually tuckered out my six year old Lilly. Dash, the seven year old, has always gotten the tuckered out part of vacation. This is the first year Lilly has snored away once we got home. They would have slept until sunrise today if I hadn’t had to get up for work!

  6. cdog5 says:

Glad you made it home safely! Enjoy, relax! 🙂

  7. coastingnz says:

sounds just like our kids once home from a trip away – think that is that home comfort thing, as much as they had fun away they do love their home surroundings and routine.

  8. I agree it’s good to be home :o) and with your fabulous pups you had a great time :o) can you imagine a life without dogs? It’s impossible, huh?

  9. Always fun to visit but also I’m always glad to be home too

  10. It is always nice to be home after a super good time and trip. Those picture are so cute of all of them. Sounds like you all had a perfect visit. Hugs and nose kisses

Next time go Greyhound. I think they should take dogs.

  12. I feel the same way after coming back from “vacation” sometimes. A sure sign of a good time.

  13. Welcome home. Looks like your guys enjoyed themselves but are probably ready to get back into the home romping routine. 😉
