Just when Penny had come to terms with the fact her beach had become a tundra, she made an interesting discovery

Wait a second, there’s something under this ice…

“Eko, come look at this!!”

My little prospector struck sand-gold

Penny needs no excuse to romp, but the soft sand under her paws definitely put a little extra pep in her step

“Woohoo, the beach is back!”

Eko joined in the revelry

And the two kicked up sand as the tore down the beach

Winter undoubtedly has more frozen weather in store, but we certainly didn’t mind practicing for spring!

  1. you found such a mammoth there right? or soe gold nuggets? btw: there is something on your nose, can you come a little closer to the screen?

  2. I wouldn’t mind that weather at all either. So is your bed a sandbox like mine is in the summer with all that sand?

Such great photos! I love the first one of Penny bounding in midair, and her curiosity is palpable in the shot of her digging with those adorable ears over her head! Looks to me like Penny has taken the lead in the frivolities! We should add another category to the Doggy Olympics: Beach Frivolities, and Penny would definitely get the gold. 😀
