Out Like a Lamb?

Like a familiar movie, the seasons are supposed to stick to a well-worn story. March certainly stuck to the script with a snowstorm to begin the month In like a lion: check Then “out came the sun and dried up all the (snow).”

To see the sun again was a glorious thing

And to romp in the sand again was even better

Spring was in the air and we saw plenty of little lambs. Rhodesian Ridgeback, puppy, chicago, dogs, adventure, photos

We met a lot of cute new pups at the beach. Eko, who was a doting grandfather in a former life, couldn’t get enough.

Lions, check. Lambs, chec….oh wait. March went off script and let the lion have one last roar.

Not exactly the beach weather we’d hoped for

Like Eko and Penny, March was all mixed up

Tomorrow we turn the page and the script says something about showers and flowers. But after the weird month we’ve had, I think we’ve earned more flowers than showers. Fingers crossed!

Comments for Out Like a Lamb?

  1. I’m really envious that you’ve had a winter; regardless how brutal it’s been. We’ve had so little rain out west, that the grass is already dry. Last week I took Neeka and Khoi out to the lake, only to have them wilt in the heat (they do so when the temp hits 74 degrees- and they call themselves African Lion Dogs. humph) This is going to be a long hot summer for us. Instead of laying in the sun, they’ll be hanging out on top of the A/C vents.

  2. Yep I think we all are gonna be “out like a lamb!!” YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! We have our home opener Monday!!

  3. We need some sun and flowers for sure, what a long winter, roar!

March is one of our better months in NZ – still warm, especially in the evenings. Little chilly first thing but once that sun comes out. Boys still have having little dips in their “swimming pool” aka the creek at the bottom of our track to the beach. Pretty much the end of swimming now though – April can be cooler but nothing like what you guys have in the Northern Hemisphere. Love seeing Eko and Penny romping on your beach.

  5. Love it! I have all fingers crossed here, too!

  6. fredrieka says:

we were worried we would get that white stuff NOPE we are sunning

  7. Emmadog says:

We have spring here now and that last load of snow really helped get things greened up once it melted.

We’re getting some snow tonight too! It’s crazy. LOVE that last pic!!

  9. You know what’s really funny? In a few months we’ll all be blogging about how darned HOT it is and “wouldn’t it be nice if it was COOL”…..HAHAHAHA

  10. I’m so ready to kick March to the curb! Here’s for loads of sunshine on our paws and faces and a bunch of daffodils or tulips for the kitchen table! 🙂

  11. Kismet says:

90 here-A/C is on but it’s delightful outside.

  12. Just don’t get caught by the April Fools…

  13. In like a lion, out like a lion. Gah! That’s just WRONG! Except it’s always fun when you bust out the lion costumes! Yay!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  14. Oh you see you on the beach is really a sign that we have spring! Is that pup a mini-ridgeback? he has the same color like you Eko :o)
