Penny’s first trip to the park
These days she sits a bit taller
Speaking of sitting taller…
This patio chair is no longer quite as comfortable as it once was
Penny had an early interest in dentistry
Which continues to this day. It just takes a bit more effort to get her head between those jaws of Eko’s
On her first trip to the beach, Penny was still small enough to fit under Eko’s legs
These days her legs can nearly match Eko’s legs stride for stride
Penny and Eko filled up the futon even when she was just a little stinker
Penny’s gotten bigger, the futon is the same size, but somehow it still works
A year ago she was a little, soft, squishy troublemaker
Nowadays she’s a lean, keen, trouble-making machine!
In sum, compared to a year ago, Penny has longer legs but the same thick, loveable skull. I’ll be interested to take these same photos a year from now when Penny is fully an “adult.” (Like with me, we’ll use that term very loosely with Penny)
Of course, no matter how many years go by she’ll always be my little puppy!
it’s so great that you have so much photos… I sadly missed it to take puppy-photos of Easy…. and there is probably no way to get some after 5 years LOL
Oh Penny… so beautiful! Both Penny and Eko are just beautiful, beautiful dogs!
Her body has grown. When does maturity come?
lean-kean troublemaking machine – i love that – your little mischief maker will probably get a little more settled but always be a little mischief maker
I remember when i wrote you in march i was waiting for my pub.I was sooo nervous and now she is grown so fast. Kira, her name is a little bit like penny, sweet if you have cookies and a good listener(if she wants) at school. But out here, a gardener a cook and a speedy conzales. But i love here and she makes everything ”special” greetings from belgium. Greetje and Kira
Such a beautiful girl!
we sure grow up fast and furious that is what I try to accomplish fast and furriest
wow…where has the time gone? I remember dying over the puppy photos!
And such a loveable (numb)skull it is. 🙂 We love ya, Penny with tremendous admiration of patient/tolerant Eko.
Love the way you paired up puppy and bigger puppy(!) photos of her in similar places 🙂
Penny was .. is .. such a cute puppy. I’m like Will .. no matter how many years go by, Rusty will always be my little puppy.
Quiet here today. Rusty and I went outside for a little while. He ran around, chased the ball. Then he went upstairs with me, with the ball, and we played ball again in the bedroom. I’m hoping he’ll take a little nap now. I’m tired.
Thinking of you. Love you.

Never change, P. You can grow older (if you have to), but you never have to grow up. I think you’re an excellent dentist. Very conscientious.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Your blogs just always put a huge smile on my face. Those shots of Penny when she is little – not just her size but the looks on her face, knowing what we know now…… definitely trouble written all over her lol. Couldn’t agree more though, they are always our puppies no matter the age. Nico is now 10 – but yes, he is our big puppy boy and Ziggy is always the “wee man” or bubs.
She’s adorable! I love your photos!
Penny was and is utterly beautiful. 🙂 I love how just through photos, you can really tell how much personality both she and Eko have! They’re both adorable (and quite funny). I bet they always keep life interesting & entertaining.
Also – Happy Belated Birthday, Penny! <3
It’s amazing how a pup changes and you don’t really notice being with them all the time. Thankfully there are photos to remind us all.
great line up of photos, she is and always will be a cute little bug. She just has that look.
She still has that puppy look. Adorable 😉
“An early interest in dentistry” 😆 Love it!!
Oh My! We haven’t popped by the blog in a while…. actually the last time must have been not long after you got Penny (sorry about that… been busy). Wow Wow Wow. Hasn’t the little girl grown!!!
