But there is something, or rather someone, who gives Penny pause and blows her hair/ears back
And that’s Eko! He doesn’t run wild nearly as much as Penny does, but when he does take off it’s a sight to behold
He’ll let Penny run to him
And then he takes off at full speed
I think he likes to remind Penny that he’s “still got it” and could out run her any time he wanted
But in case a day comes when Penny could catch him, Eko likes to come to a whirling stop and let out a menacing play-growl
It’s a reminder he’ll always be bigger than Penny and it sends her sprinting away every time
Which leaves Eko to chuckle and trot off while Penny still thinks he’s chasing her
Penny may be a pretty good play-tactician, but she still falls for the oldest trick in the book. It’s good to know there’s at least one dog who can send Penny running in the opposite direction. I’m just glad that dog happens to be Eko – I need all the help I can get!
