Earlier this week I wrote about the motto, “Love to play, play to love.” In short, it means I think playtime is an invaluable part of building loving relationships, irrespective of species. With Eko and Penny I have been lucky to have two pups whose personalities mesh well. But good fortune can only take you so far. That’s why I’ve prescribed a healthy dose of daily fun to help make sure Eko and Penny have a great relationship. https://youtu.be/7paT00pPyVs

Comments for [VIDEO] Why My Dogs Are Best Friends

  1. I must laugh as I saw the look Eko gave that little furball :o) It reminded me of my math teacher reading my homework :o)

  2. Emmadog says:

They are perfect together! Katie and I were like that, but now that Katie is older, we don’t do much together but you will find me lying by her a lot. Bailie and I have a lot of fun, but we aren’t as tight. It may change as she gets a bit older, though. We have fun, but we also have our spats.

  3. Kismet says:

Kaci and Kali have that relationship but I have nobody. I couldn’t even get an egg to hatch.

  4. KarenS says:

Having 2 dogs of the same breed helps. They understand their way of playing so much better. Bruno & Ty will just give one the “look”. If it is returned, then watch out world it’s RR playtime! Of not, then it’s okay too.

As mine age I find that I miss their chase too. Bruno does a fine job, but he is slowing down & can’t make those tight turns like he use to. Ty seems to understand. The chase is shorter but the look in their eyes is the same.

    Happy play time everyone.

  5. Victoria says:

OMG – i had forgotten how tiny Penny was – great friday video – Eko is such a good big brother

  6. You’re so lucky the get along so well – it so much fun to watch. Our guys mostly just ignore each other.

  7. OMG ADORABLE!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe Penny was soooooooo small (and why I can’t believe it, I don’t know because I was reading your blog when you got her and before!)

She was a gutsy little thing even waaay back then!

    LOVE THIS!
    Have a great weekend!

  8. coastingnz says:

oh my Penny was so little – so cute. Easy to forget how little they once were. Still cute though and hard to beat a best friend – be it doggy or human.

  9. raisingdaisy says:

In the still at the start of your video, it looks like they’re singing a powerful duet together! 😀

  10. Cupcake says:

Gah! Was Penny really THAT small? My – how she’s grown…..

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  11. Penny was an adorable little linebacker back in the day. Too cute. No wonder her big bro loves her. Who could possibly resist that sweetie?

  12. Melody says:

It is so great to have two that love each other. My boy is 12 and girl is 8. They have a similar relationship as Echo and Penny. My Luna worships Zonka and he is always liking out for her. Unfortunately, he is quite slow now so the play has stopped. We are now her playmates and he is her cuddle friend. Cherish all days!!

  13. cute video a family that plays together stays together.
