[VIDEO] Speaking Tail

Hang around pups long enough and whether you know it or not you’re learning a whole new language. Reading a dog’s body language, especially their tail movements is an easy way to know exactly how the pup is feeling. Here are a few of my favorite things Eko and Penny

Comments for [VIDEO] Speaking Tail

  1. that are the cutest tail tales I ever saw… even when it hurts sometimes when they wagg an exclamation mark directly on our head :o) have a super weekend together :o)

  2. Emmadog says:

Penny as a crazy wild tail like Bailie. Some dogs are more tail expressive than others but Mom finds them fascinating, especially with our nose work, the working wag and the I found it stillness to the, yay, I did the right thing.

  3. Love the tail story. Their tails are so long and thin – never realized. The welcome home tail is probably my favorite although the I’m really happy but also very sleepy tail is pretty good too.

  4. Victoria says:

i love the emily greeting -that is fantastic – mine do a tail way dance too and nothing makes your day fabulous more than 2 pups who can’t wait to see you!!

  5. Some cats use their tail to “speak” with but not quite as often as dogs…….you can definitely see “happy” and “feeling sick” and “depressed” as well as “frightened” in a cat’s tail but dog tails are all over the place sending messages!!

  6. There’s nothing quite like the ‘we’re so glad you’re home’ bull-whip wagging. it’s a wonder those fur-kids don’t take off like a helicopter! Happy tails to you all this weekend.

  7. Cupcake says:

Talking tails! They DO say it all!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  8. Kismet says:

How about the “helicopter tail” where it goes around in circles so quickly that you think the pup may take off.?

  9. coastingnz says:

ah yes, the telling tail tells quite the story. 🙂

  10. fredrieka says:

my body language usually say let’s run and jump woof

  11. Leo says:

Hi, I’m currently thinking of getting a pet (dog). It’s a long time dream, postponed waiting for a bigger house to give the pet(s) better conditions.
A good friend told me Rhodesian Ridgeback was the dog a was looking for. Good as guardian dog but gentle to the owners and friends. I find out your website and if any doubt was still there, it vanished. Great site and great relation you have with your dogs.
Hopefully I’ll have “him” or “her” before year end.
    Hugs
    Leo

  12. cute video, I love tail wags.

  13. I LOVED the end when Emily came home!!! ADORABLE!!
