Puppy Undercover

I think I pamper Penny pretty promptly, but it seems she disagrees. Rhodesian Ridgeback, puppy, cute, blanket, chicago

And an improperly pampered pup must take matters into her own paws

Penny’s developed a strategy to ensure she’s comfy, with or without my help

First she checks the coast is clear…

Then Penny grabs a mouth full of covers and flops down with them

The cover is supposed to cover the ugly futon…

But when I see Penny happily self-snuggled I’m happy to bend the rules

Anyone else have pups who tuck themselves in?

3 out of 4 of our dogs do this. It’s pretty hilarious. Lots of repositioning the blankets that cover the sofa and then a heavy plop down. They don’t cover themselves, just make a kind of nest. Makes me smile.

OH yes Juley here will work her covers that she has on her bed until she is satisfied completely. One evening I got up to go back to check on her and found her with her covers around her head & body looking like a little old lady all chilled! It took me a minute to realize that it was her cause all that was sticking out was her eyes & snout!
