[VIDEO] The Guilty Suitcase
I swear, if I even think about visiting an airline’s website, Eko and Penny are on full alert. They always know when I’m getting ready to leave. I rarely travel without the pups but it doesn’t matter, they still know exactly when I’m headed out the door for more than
I had a cat who used to pee on my suitcase when it came out, and I did a lot of business travel in those days. Had to pack in secret for the rest of that cat’s life.
Mom’s first dog couldn’t handle the suitcase as she came from a shelter (dumped there with her puppies) and was attached to Mom but Mom was a flight attendant at the time and left often for days at a time. Poor Trine never got over it even though Mom quit flying. My sisters and I don’t worry much about it at all. If anything it means we can catch up on our rest. Have a fun weekend!
There are a lot worse situations than having to weekend with Emily.
I love them sitting on the couch watching the window – i bet they do a lot of that while you are gone! have a great weekend
Our dogs know what a suitcase means, “Aunt Susie is coming to stay with us!!! Yeah, extra treats from her! ” Enjoy your weekend.
Sam used to sit on or in the suitcase and REFUSE to budge when it came out for packing………he doesn’t do that any more – but he does somehow know when we’re getting ready to leave the house for ANY reason. We get the sad eyes which are the ultimate guilt trip.

Awwwww….I just LOVE IT!!! Ohhhh Emily is going to have her hands full with Penny!!!!! I bet they are gonna have fun!
Nice try, kids. But once the suitcase comes out, it’s difficult to change the course of events. Have fun with Emily. Hang in there.
Love and licks,

Oh that sad puppy faces….I feel so bad when I have to leave the house without Easy… but I bet they will have a great time with Emily :o)
Your videos are getting better and better over the years. Love those faces. I too used to keep the suitcase hidden until the last minute, but now I make it an everyday thing so they feel less interested. There is always a cat or 2 in it immediately. Have fun.
Sam gets antsy and underfoot and tries like the devil to go out the door with me. When he finally comes to grip with the whole concept, he pouts for a few moments but clearly seems to have forgotten my transgression as soon as I return. His joy and pogo-sticking cannot be contained and makes for a truly wonderful homecoming. It’s great to be loved!
Oh, those looks…my guys hate it when they see the bag come out too.
cute video, love penny’s expressions
