Farewell Summer

The first day of autumn may not be until September 23, but this is the last weekend of summer in my heart. No matter how late the warm weather stretches or bright sunny days linger, you can’t convince me summer lasts a single day past August 31st. September belongs to autumn and autumn alone.

With that in mind I wanted to look back on summer and share some fun photos which never made it on the blog

We dug right in to making the most of this short summer

We certainly weren’t afraid to get a bit dirty in the process

There was no shortage of splashing

Dashing

Or crashing

We made plenty of new friends

And discovered cool new places

Summer’s light regretfully fades, but we certainly have no regrets about how we spent our time

With that, summer, we bid you adieu. But we’re in no rush to see you go, so hopefully you’ll take your time heading out the door!

  1. Great summer images…our Spring starts on the 1st Septembet…but Winter still has her icy claws in us…usually our Spring starts mild and short and we seem to get bang into foul heat quicker every year…so i will hang on to Winter…you guys can have a little longer Summer and we all win 😉

  2. Lol, I’m the same way! September = fall. Or at least, not summer. It’s like winter starting December 21st (or whenever it is this year; I never know now!). It may technically, but in reality it starts way before that! I’m the biggest baby when it comes to fall starting because it’s my least favorite season. But I’m going to try my best to enjoy it as best I can! 😀 (I love that last picture of Eko…so beautiful!)
