Penny was minding her business at the beach when a powerful-looking Boxer came charging directly towards her
Penny quietly sunk into a submissive posture and the Boxer picked up speed
I knew where this was going, but the poor Boxer had no idea
Penny sprang forward and stopped the Boxer in his tracks
The Boxer slowly backed up, regretting his choice of targets. But it was too late, the Penny Fly Trap closed on her prey
“You wanted to dance, big boy, so let’s dance!”
The boxer went scampering back down the beach while Penny trotted back to me, her grin saying, “That one wasn’t my fault.”
Some days I feel like Penny’s Joker make up should be permanent so other dogs know what they’re getting themselves into
You can call Penny plenty of things, but dull is certainly not one of them!
She has an excellent strategy for play time – i am guessing there are no dogs on that beach that don’t have a lot of fun or at least get a lot of exercise when she is on “play patrol”
I got a laughing fit as I saw the ear of this guy… it seems that was his sign for “Penny-Alarm” :o)
Life will never be dull with Penny. Now you need a cat like my cat bro Bert. Hey! It’s almost the season of giving, I could give Bert to you guys. Now that is an idea. I can fit him in a box and mail him off. Think of all the fun you would have!
Where was Eko when this was happening? I’m sure he was keeping an eye out on his little sister ready to come as back-up, if needed
Priceless set of images – even the shot of the Boxer “stopping” in his tracks – you can see the look on his face “oh shit” lol. I love waking to your blog and starting my day with a giggle with Penny and Eko.
I hope that the red in the last picture isn’t blood.
Love these stories. Dont ever stop
Amazing shots! Better than a movie ☺thanks for sharing those!
She is too cute. 🙂
Oh Will, just glad she can stand up for herself 🙂
Those shots are perfect! You’ve got a great eye (and a gorgeous pup)!
OH how as loved these photos and the Penny Venus Fly Trap in motion! She will always be keeping you on your toes! I love how Eko is so laid back but ready to go when you are and Penny is the exact opposite sometimes! Enjoy it as that makes life fund,
A role model for lady dogs everywhere. 🙂
here I thought you were going to tell us Penny eats flies, wow I eat flies, glad Penny was ok..
That guy will remember her next time they see each other across a crowded beach – HAHAHA……..
Hugs, Pam and Sam
those boxers ears! love it
Love her…
Love the Penny Fly Trap analogy. Even the one ear standing at attention on the Boxer wasn’t enough of a ‘oops, just kidding-please don’t hurt me’ mea culpa. Go get ’em, Penny! Good one.
