Of course, we chose to spend our afternoon at Montrose Dog Beach. The place was packed like it was a mid-summer day
Penny wasted little time making the most of the warm weather
Normally, the shore is frozen and buried at this time of year. Penny and her Golden pals enjoyed splashing through the shallows
But even the Goldens thought Penny was crazy for charging out into the deep water for a swim
The sun supercharged Eko. He and Penny wrestled and romped themselves silly
I love panting-smiles. They’re a summertime staple, but I never see them in the winter. Yesterday was a happy exception.
We’re still hoping for one good snowstorm, but we thoroughly enjoyed our taste of spring
It seems Mother Nature beat her groundhog to the punch. Swimming in Lake Michigan on February 1st? Our bet is on an early spring.
Such a happy sight
your very own version of puscatawny phil! Looks like they had a blast and predicted the same as the ground hog -early spring
You wouldn’t find me getting in that water haha.
Yeah, you may have an early Spring (actually Chicago and Detroit are already having Spring!!), but what will we think when we have a BLIZZARD IN JUNE??!!! lol!!!!! Glad to hear I am not the only one who REALLY WANTS “one good snowstorm!!”
I hope that’s a lake effect snow storm, we’ve had sufficient in the suburbs! 🙂 Penny has such a joyful spirit, it’s great to see her running free.
is thata kind of sunblocker on your nose Penny? very clever… that sun can be tricky for winter-noses, right?
That looked like super great fun – a smiles said it all eh! A nice treat for the kids in the middle of winter. Glad to see you made the most of it.
We were not real thrilled with the warm weekend weather, but today we are getting a nice blizzard and are loving it! Maybe it will drop some white stuff for you guys too.
Why would you hope for a big snow storm?
Denver got nearly 15″ – you can have ours. 😉
We hope you’re right about that early Spring thing……….oh yeah!
Hugs, Sammy
Dog beach fun looks like it was over the top! Awesome. I agree – one more decent snowstorm would be great.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Sorry, Will…but we’ll take winter for as long as it wants to hang around! Send yours our way. 🙂
a great day for a romp and getting tired. I loved that warm day on Saturday.
Looks like the pups were pooped after the warm weather fun. That’s the real payoff of unseasonably warm weather — a nice quiet break after rumpus time!
Oh lucky dogs to get a swim in February! Love the photos but that first one is exceptional.
