Happy Birthday, Mr. Eko!

Five years ago today, a very special puppy was born. That young puppy met a young boy, and shortly after, the boy carried the puppy home in his arms. On that first day home, I couldn’t have possibly imagined the adventure that lay in store for the two of us
Five years ago today, a very special puppy was born. That young puppy met a young boy, and shortly after, the boy carried the puppy home in his arms.

On that first day home, I couldn’t have possibly imagined the adventure that lay in store for the two of us

Five years, tens of thousands of miles, and countless smiles later, the puppy is now a dog and the boy is (arguably) a man. We both may have grown up, but Eko certainly prevented us from growing old.

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” – George Bernard Shaw

Not only does Eko still love to play

But he still plays to show love. For life and for his punk kid sister

He may not be as young as he once was, but Eko can still leave Penny in the dust!

And what do you get the pup who has given you everything?

Nothing. I think Eko’s favorite gift was when I took Penny for a walk and left him alone to sun bathe!

Although he may not know why I’m also giving him a few extra treats today, I don’t think he’ll mind.

Happy birthday to my once and forever puppy!
