He always begins our beach trips at a cool 0 mph
While Penny unleashes mayhem, Eko often stands stoically by my side. Then, for reasons which aren’t always clear to me, Eko decides it’s time to flip the switch.
He announces himself with a big pounce and then takes off
Eko usually flies down the shore on his own, running for running’s sake
He’s happiest when he reaches top speed and really blows his ears back
I love watching Eko gallup
Eko’s romps end as suddenly as they begin. Never with a trot or a jog – always with a skid and a spray of sand
Then the dial is turned right back to zero
Two speeds may not seem like a lot, but it’s double what Penny has! Anyone else have “lightswitch” pup with only two settings?
I probably got the basic model with just one speed… but it’s always full speed… I should check his dna… there is a sled dog inside :O)
Rocket or firecracker, the result is always the same in Sam’s case and usually involves a crash into me. Great acceleration but lousy brakes. 😉
Eko is just making sure your safe before he goes and does his thing.
For reasons unknown only to dogs, our Bentley will decide the devil is chasing her (either outside or in the house) or its a new full moon . Outside is fine, lots of space. However, inside, it’s down the hall, jump on the stool by the bed, run in circles on the bed, then a bounding 10+ foot leap off the stool, down the hall and then repeat. She has even gone as far as throwing the bedspread, top sheet, and fitted sheet into the middle of the bed with her feet!! After a few rounds she’s fine and exhausted. We have learned to just stay out of her way and watch her have fun.
It reminds me of something chef Emeril Lagasse said. There’s a reason that stove tops have knobs for varying amounts of heat. Some “cooks” think that there are only 2 settings, “off” and “cremate”.
Eko n Penny are just beautiful pups, i dont care for the word dog but pup is what i call mine. I love to see their adventures, thx will for writing. See u all tomorrow
Bailie is either on at full speed or asleep. I seem to have multiple speeds, and Mom says right now I’m a pleasure to walk with because I have so many speeds. Eko looks so young when he romps!
Our previous dog Cooper had two speeds fast and asleep. Duncan? He is a 9 speed transmission. All forward….
Sam has one speed………..”asleep” (is that a speed???!!!!).
Hugs, Pam
Two speeds are really all a doggie needs. That gets it all done. Mom thinks I have jackasses in my head because I will wake up from a dead sleep and pounce on one of my toys and give it a beatin like it was asking for it.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Two speeds is good! Stop take a look at your environment decide where the best place to unleash mayhem
I love the expression on his face in a couple of those photos.
Eko knows when he’s had enough – you can see all his years of wisdom in his eyes! Love that sandy nose. 🙂
Great action shots and sand on the nose, beautiful
