I was once a child, afraid of the dark. Then a puppy showed me how to light the world. When I lost Eko my world went dark again. This time I embraced the darkness, hiding from the world. How could I go outside? How could I smile? How could I step into the light without Eko?

Who knows how long I would have wallowed in my misfortune? But to wallow one must stay still. Penny Mayhem would allow no such thing.  She dragged me back into the light (at  light-speed) and reminded me just how lucky I truly am.
