  1. meANXIETYme says:

Can’t <3 this enough. Great job, Will!

  2. love the video… life can be so super good… thanks for sharing this wonderful moments… you are right… nothing is over it has just begun….

  3. Takes a bit more planning to get out the door with a kid strapped to your chest, but the effort has definitely been well rewarded with a new adventure.

  4. Turok says:

, both the boy and boy dog are growing by leaps and bounds, Penny is becoming tiny! You and Emily have the cutest “Brady Bunch”, thanks for the video, and the message that our dogs need to right along our side when we’re raising a family! Their are part of us!

  5. TheRidgebackLife says:

Of course, Lincoln has a Wild Things tee. Love it. Now he’s really one of the pack. Nice to be able to take his “nanny” wherever you go Zero is so attentive. And he works for kibble.

  6. Penny and I are shrinking by the day next to those two! It takes a bit more effort to get out the door with our expanded crew, but I could never imagine leaving anyone behind.

  7. Most affordable and attentive nanny around.

  8. Kismet says:

    Where’s Emily?

  9. Eve says:

Yes life has just begun for the 5 of you! Love that you embraced Lincoln in your walks with the pups! That part of the video with Lincoln & Zero sleeping were priceless!! So great they all get along! Now just wait for the newest member to get more mobile then the fun really will begin! LOL

  10. Emmadog says:

That made us miss the beach! I’m sure it will continue to get more difficult as Lincoln grows and becomes mobile, but you will change along with the changes and make it all work.

  11. As your family grows, so do the opportunities for adventure and fun. Love the video – Lincoln is so adorable and certainly will grow up knowing the same magical bond with his pups as you and Emily share.

    Pam and Teddy too

  12. Victoria Coleman says:

Lincoln is just the cutest little guy and his interactions (while mostly sleeping) with the pups are so adorable. Good for you getting out with all of the kids (4 legged and 2 legged) -its so important to spend time together exploring and just hanging out.

  13. Working her butt off! Maternity leave is over.

  14. Things will certainly get interesting when Lincoln can try to go off on Ridgeback adventures of us own.

  15. Maybe I’ll just get a third leash?

  16. Babies rival even Ridgebacks for napping prowess!

  17. Hey W. Where can I get one of those shirts with a baby dinosaur inside?? That seems even more fun than a tutu! I would wear that baby dino on every adventure!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  18. Elyse says:

Kids and dogs are made for each other. Glad to see you aren’t wasting a minute to let all of them know!

  19. Connie Taylor says:

Was Lincoln yawing or roaring like a dinosaur? I’m glad you both are the type of parents that aren’t afraid for their kids to get out in the fresh air and go exploring together. Pretty soon Lincoln will be leading the dogs on their walks with you trailing behind them all.

  20. Anne says:

You know how they say people and their dogs start to look alike as time goes on? Well, in those last few frames, the ones where Lincoln and Zero are napping side by side, I am starting to see a resemblance in those two. How about you? Do you see it?

  21. René L. Hester says:

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful baby Lincoln is & his furry siblings are going to add such positivity to your lives! Congratulations again on your bundle of joy. It appears that Penny and Zero have seamlessly enveloped your world in such a protective shell that includes fun and adventures ! Enjoy!

  22. Here’s to pawsome adventures shared between all your wild things.

  23. Ellen Quilty says:

This is such a beautiful, natural progression.I’ve never understood how people can shove the dog to the side when a child is born but I know it happens. Not chez Will and Emily though-it is not an either/or for you.In addition to all the joy you are experiencing watching Lincoln it must be so much fun watching Penny and Zero find new ways to dote on him. Thanks for sharing these wonderful moments with us.

  24. The shirt isn’t quite tailored for four legs, but I think Cupcake’s determination to fashion could overcome any minor sartorial challenges.

  25. The real trouble will be convincing Lincoln when he’s a bit older that despite how much time he spends with them, he isn’t actually a dog.

  26. I plan to buy a throne and a third leash, then I’ll let the pack pull me around Chicago. I still have to run the idea past Emily but how could she find any fault in it?

  27. Haha just wait until I give Lincoln his first mohawk hair cut! Then you won’t be able to tell the difference at all.

  28. The pups have picked up on the cue that when I load Lincoln up it means we’re off for some fun. Definitely helped build some extra good will for Zero and Penny to know their brother helps get us out the door.

  29. Exactly. It’s not a choice for us – love is additive. And we’re overjoyed to add Lincoln and the pups together to make even grander adventures.

  30. coastingnz says:

oh my gosh great capture of sleeping puppy sleeping baby. Both Lincoln and Zero have got so big! Too cute – all of them.

  31. Tricia Thompson says:

What a lovely family you have, two footed, and four footed. I have SO enjoyed your blog. I’m finally in Chicago for the first time this weekend. What a beautiful city. We’re here from the east coast for my daughter’s bachelorette weekend. The dog lovers among us are hoping to visit the dog beach tomorrow to get our dog fix. It will be nice to relate first hand to Penny’s and Zero’s (and Libcoln’s) beach adventures.

  32. Anne says:

Most def… be sure and gel it forward, going against the grain!

  33. Too adorable!!!! Lincoln is PRECIOUS! Cannot wait til he is old enough to toddle along with you! What fun he is going to have!

  34. Dogs and kids on an adventure great time forsure. Can’t believe Lincoln is sitting in a little chair.
