The grass is always greener. Unless you live in a city, and there’s no grass on either side of the fence. In that case, you just need a bit of creativity and motivation to keep your Ridgeback well-run and well-loved!

Great video. We have a big fenced in yard which is what every large dog needs right? Not necessarily. While it is certainly much easier to just open the back door for bathroom breaks-a major convenience to be sure that does not constitute excersise. So every day rain or shine we get in the car and go to one of our favorite places where Nikki can run and sniff to her heart’s content and often meet up with her doggie friends. Not only does she get her excersise but I do too! Much better than just opening the back door and then wondering why she is wild and badly behaved.People often ask me how I trained her to be such a good girl. While it is true that I have put a lot of work into her I also believe our daily hikes have a great deal to do with it.
I had multiple RRs in various apartments for more than 15 years before moving to a house with a yard. As you point out, it can be done, but you have to be willing to put in the time for adequate excercise. Off-leash excercise in a securely fenced area is also a must!
You have come so far since those early videos of Eco in NJ. Congratulations on your continued video achievements. Loved it! – Your friends at DogDaz Zoo
I love your videos. I had no idea you lived in an apartment. But like you said you just adjust your lifestyle and it all works out.
You always make me happy with your stories! Please keep sharing!
your two are the best for all places as longas you all are together ;O)
fantastic video. Certainly no worries on the well-loved and nice to see the whole family – doggy cousins and all.
If they’re so smart, how do you restrain them from going afrter the Chicago politicians?

Sweet. And smart! I loved laughing at Eko again – navigating the balcony without falling off!
I love this so much! Owners of any breed can learn so much from your video! We’ve been living in apartments with dogs for years.
Love watching your 2 and 4 legged ‘Ridgebacks’ on all their adventures.

My favorite part was Lincoln’s attempts to give commands to the dogs at the beach. So cute!
