Luck of the Irish

My favorite holidays all share three crucial components – good food, good company, no presents. St. Patrick’s Day hits the mark for all three. Well, at least it does for those like me who are corned beef and cabbage fiends. Of course you can never discuss the Irish without mentioning good
My favorite holidays all share three crucial components – good food, good company, no presents. St. Patrick’s Day hits the mark for all three. Well, at least it does for those like me who are corned beef and cabbage fiends.Of course you can never discuss the Irish without mentioning good luck. I don’t have a four leaf clover, but I do have a lucky Penny. And a lucky Eko.17.1

Today, they’re Irish Ridgebacks

Recently we’ve had quite the run with Lady Luck.

17.2

We were lucky to get one great blizzard out of winter

17.3

And lucky that barely a month later spring really sprung

17.4

We were lucky my brother found Doc at just the right time

17.5

And lucky to have plenty of reasons to smile each day

17.7

Like finding (what amounts to) a pot of gold at breakfast and dinner!

The best part about my four-legged lucky charms is they remind me that we often make our own luck. No matter the situation or circumstance, pups are eager to make the best of it. So whatever your situation, here’s hoping you find good food and good company to celebrate each day with.

If you have a pet, you’re already halfway there. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Comments for Luck of the Irish

  1. You found the pot of gold, that’s for sure :o) we had a four leaf clover in the morning and easy ate it as i tried to take a st. Paddy’s photo… but at least now he is the luckiest pup on earth :o)

Nothing says Irish like a Rhodesian Ridgeback?

Happy St Pats day to you & your pack!

  4. I think Eko, Penny and Doc feel the same way – that they’re very lucky pups to have found their perfect humans at the end of their rainbows.

  8. They are pretty good lucky charms! Great outfits, enjoy your day!

  9. Khoi used up the remainder of his allotment of luck this weekend when he went traipsing through the tall grass and stumbled upon a deer antler! Nice three pointer at that. Trotted around with it for a majority of our hike. My husband carried it the rest of the way. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any rattlesnakes that day. The previous day was another story. That’s when he and Neeka used the majority of their luck. We’re refilling our luck coffers today Have a wonderful Patty’s Day!
