Summer may be fading but the pain is eased for me by one of my favorite things, football season! Notre Dame, my alma mater, made it to the national championship last year. The bad news was that we got absolutely spanked. But it is a new season and I’m looking forward to catching the games each Saturday.
Last year Eko learned that once a week I turn into a nut (ok, more of a nut) and jump around the apartment or smack my hand against my head or do any number of silly things. He thinks I’m crazy, but he gets a total kick out of it. When I jump around, so does he, and when I give an exasperated sigh Eko will lick my face for encouragement. This year we’re ready for another exciting season of ups and downs.
We watch the games closely
See the big play coming
See the big play happening
Sometimes covering my eyes because I can’t take it
Sometimes grimacing at a bad call from the referee
Sometimes needing a hug
But always cheering with reckless abandon! Or in Eko’s case, looking down my mouth to see why I’m yelling at the TV
Am I crazy? You bet. Luckily my dog is ok with that!
if you can’t be crazy with your dog when can you????????
Lol as always. Oh boy, you two are so amazingly funny. Cynthia and I were laughing hard at your antics:)
This is so cute and funny!! I think this is at the top of my list for favorites of your posts. You and Eko are a perfect pair! Hugs and nose kisses
Dogs don’t care if our owners are looney! Mom and I are like that with our loser Vikings…maybe they can win a game this year??? Love this post, it is so cute!
Isn’t it grand that Eko’s a football fan so the two of you can sit on the couch together and enjoy the BIG games. Sam loves to watch football and baseball. At least until he gets sleepy then we continue watching FOR him!

OMD this was just great!! We are football freaks here too! Come on over and watch the game with my hubby and Dakota!
Those of us that are passionate about our football need to have steady pets. I had a friend that was so crazy about his team that his dogs would leave the room when certain teams were playing on the TV. What a cute series of pictures.

OMGoodness, Eko! Your face is priceless in these pictures. It looks like maybe, just maybe, you’re not quite as passionate as Will. Just remember – It isn’t whether you win or lose, it’s how you look when you watch the game. You look perfect! Have fun.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
You’re a great team!
How do you DO it Will? Those are the funniest photo’s and Eko (as always) brilliantly contributes to the post with another Oscar winning performance. Good luck this season!
You guys kill me.
I’m not into football. Tennis is my game. And swimming. But you guys crack me up. Hope you have a winning season!
I love Eko’s face & agree with Genevieve, I think Eko’s just not as into the game as you are Will. But he’s in with being with you!
Hahahahhaha – love it!
Adorable! My pooch ignores the TV most of the time, but is crazy about a particular Scottish historian who does BBC documentaries over here in the UK. I guess the ladies do love an accent after all!
