Yesterday, Eko and I took my brother and Dutch on a tour of our favorite spots in Chicago. For the entire time we were out, Dutch carried a tennis ball in his mouth. I figured he was just excited to explore the new city, but when we got home Dutch and his ball remained inseparable.
In fact, last night Dutch fell asleep with the tennis ball in his mouth! Then his legs kicked and he whimpered as he dreamed – of being at the park I’m sure
After yesterday’s long adventure, Dutch decided today was a good day to relax. He’s a quick study because he jumped right up to Eko’s favorite spot. He knew Eko would have picked the best spot in the house!
Although he was just relaxing, Dutch had to bring the ball with him
Eko was perplexed at how Dutch stole his spot, but as I tell my brother, “Age before beauty.” Just kidding, Dutch may be older but he is definitely still more handsome than my brother
And of course Eko wasted no time hopping back to his spot while Dutch was out for a walk
Few things are more relaxing than a couple of tired out pups. While I give my brother a tour of the city this afternoon it’s nice to know that Dutch and Eko will enjoy their quiet time on the couch. Humans can be overwhelming, so I’m sure they will enjoy the break!
Dutch and the tennis ball is just so cute. He does love his ball. Eko is such a sweetheart to share his favorite place with a word (bark). It is nice they both got to enjoy that nice spot. What a fun time you all must have had checking out all your favorite places. Hugs and nose kisses
Buddy has to have one of his stuffed animals with him when we go out. It’s cute.
But when we go camping, then I have to bring about 10 of them, or he goes nuts looking for them in the camper. I believe it makes him feel more like home a little to have them with him ? It is fun to pack them, as I place them In Buddy’s bag, he will help, by taking them out of his bag to play with. Then after a min or two, he gets that we are going camping or some where for a couple of days and gets really excited about it.
So I think it’s more of a security blanket for him.
By golly – that Dutch almost out-cutes Eko…… 🙂
How fun. We don’t understand tennis ball obsession at our house, but it sounds like Dutch has a serious case of it. Hope your brother is having as much fun.
that is the sweetest ever. Dutch probably is using the ball as his security blanket. Too adorable. Eko is a wonderful host to let him take his spot like that!
Dutch’s ball is his best buddy….although I have a feeling your brother might TRULY hold that place of honor but that tennis ball? Close second!
Pam (and Sam)
Dutch is so cute! Poor Eko.. sidelined and no sofa to sulk on D: haha!
Nice to see how Eko doesn’t mind sharing his spot.
Maybe you can buy a second sofa?
Cuteness to the max! That picture of Eko looking over the lean of the sofa reminded me of Sheldon in the Big Bang…….”you’re in my spot” LOL
