“Eko, what is this stuff!?”
After thoroughly sniffing/scratching the sand, Penny saw Eko take off and she wasted no time following in hot pursuit.
Loving the sand under her paws and the wind in her face
“Look dad, I’m a dinosaur!”
And when Eko took to the water to splash with some friends, Penny didn’t miss a beat
Penny shot in and out of the water with infectious glee
The beach also had a lesson to teach Penny.
“Hey Will, look, I’m running in the water, it’s so easy t….
Puppy overboard!
Penny learned the hard way (through capsizing) that bounding in the water takes a bit more technique than running on sand
As she shot out of the water Penny looked like she was in the middle of a shampoo commercial
The submarine mishap didn’t slow Penny down, but not long after she finally burned out. While I watched her closely, in all her excitement Penny lost track of me. Like a lost kid at Disney World, Penny just sat down and started whimpering. I never felt so heroic as when I scooped her up and she fell asleep in my arms as I carried her home.
Day one at the beach was an unequivocal, romping success. Hope everyone else had a great holiday too!
