Check out our new merch today!
Last night I gathered all four of my pumpkins together for carving.
“Hey, who you calling pumpkin?”
Due to my lack of hand-eye coordination and Eko’s lack of opposable thumbs, we enlisted Emily’s help. Step one was to open up and remove the guts.
Sorry, Eko, I should have clarified – open the pumpkins and remove their guts – not mine!
Some people say that pumpkin carving is an art, not a science. In my house, we respectfully disagree.
Things got pretty tense in the operating room
We weren’t sure if our patients were going to make it, but in the end they both turned out just fine.
On the left is (a very abstract version of) Eko and me walking under the Chicago skyline. On the right is Eko’s catch phrase
The pumpkins are good to go. Now it’s down to the wire to figure out a costume. I suggested Eko go as a doctor, but he prefers to keep his professional and personal lives separate!
too cute. Eko would make a good doctor but you already have one in the family – maybe you two should go as patients with Emily!
Lol. You guys are the funniest and the best:)
I was waiting for THIS post! I remember last year as you did the pumpkin-surgery, how great! Butt this year your pumpkins are phenomenal, one is modern art and the other one is THE statement. Good Job!
How much fun! I want one of those “Treats” pumpkins too.
Nice work on the carving…that had to be difficult! Still excited to see what costumes you come up with.
OMG, this was way too much!! Last pix cracked me up!!
Omigosh, that pumpkin surgery had us in stitches (no pun intended!)
Nacho, Noah, Buddy & Basil
Too funny. Thanks for the entertainment 🙂
What a GREAT post…..and Dr. Eko the pumpkin surgeon looks VERY competent…..well, sort of anyway. The end result is wonderful – we’ll be doing our annual cat pumpkin on Thursday morning!
Pam and Sam
I laughed out loud! I’m really curious to see what the costumes this year turn out to be. The pumpkins are fantastic!
They are sooo cool!!
You always crack me up Will and Eko is such a ham playing along. I’m assuming he’s not a real Dr.? ‘Got Treats’ is sure to draw in some little Halloween Ghouls. Can’t wait to see what you’re all wearing 😀
OMG YOU ARE TOO HILARIOUS!
Your “surgery” picture is hilarious!
Excellent pumpkin carving!
We’re still laughing at the operating scene! I hope the patient survived!
Absolutely love the operating scene. Eko you are adorable x
