Last night I gathered all four of my pumpkins together for carving.
“Hey, who you calling pumpkin?”
Due to my lack of hand-eye coordination and Eko’s lack of opposable thumbs, we enlisted Emily’s help. Step one was to open up and remove the guts.
Sorry, Eko, I should have clarified – open the pumpkins and remove their guts – not mine!
Some people say that pumpkin carving is an art, not a science. In my house, we respectfully disagree.
Things got pretty tense in the operating room
We weren’t sure if our patients were going to make it, but in the end they both turned out just fine.

The pumpkins are good to go. Now it’s down to the wire to figure out a costume. I suggested Eko go as a doctor, but he prefers to keep his professional and personal lives separate!
