There’s No Looking Back

My apartment here in Chicago faces the street.  The couch where Eko normally hangs out is on the opposite side of the apartment from the street-facing window.  Normally when I leave the house without Eko he is right there on the couch – where I assumed he stayed until I got back.  However, the other day as I got in my car I had the funny feeling I was being watched…

Aha, there’s our suspect!

Little did I know that every time I leave the apartment without Eko he runs to the window to keep an eye on me.  Now that I have noticed, it’s hard not to look back when I leave.  That being said, I feel like he’s giving me the “how could you leave me!” sad puppy face, so I don’t want to look back and feel guilty.

What I much prefer is looking up at the window on my way into the building.  I guess when Eko hears a car door shut on the street he comes to check to see if it’s me.  Nice to know I’m being looked out for!
