[VIDEO] Just A Dog

We have precious few moments on this earth. Why do so many of us choose to spend so many of those moments with “just a dog?” I suspect we share many of the same answers, while each having our own reasons. This is my story. What’s yours?

  1. I remember this wonderful journey…. maybe you can do it with Emily and Pernny again?

  2. NM says:

Oh Will. I was sucked into another tearful journey. I innocently thought great-lets begin this Friday with my favourite eko and penny adventure. I didn’t know it would reach the depths of my heart and soul. This part that I know but rarely share with others in fear of seeming a nutjob and or a little histrionic bc I love and appreciate my pets that much. Thank you for expressing it so well.
    Have a great weekend.

  3. Emmadog says:

What a great video! It is sad there are people who don’t know or want to know the love of a dog. For us, it is the ideal relationship and bond. Dogs need humans and humans need dogs.

  4. Kismet says:

It’s like saying that it’s just a billion dollars.

  5. Phyllis says:

That was beautiful, thank you Will

  6. KarenS says:

Sitting at the office drying my tears. You are a bright spot in my day, even when I find myself weeping.

  7. What a wonderful video……you know we cat people feel the same way about our furballs – they are amazing additions to our lives too – and while dogs and cats are VERY different from each other in MOST ways, one thing stands true for them both……they add so much to our lives in so many ways and anyone with a pet of any kind knows that unconditional love is worth a million bucks!! A road trip for ALL of you sounds like an amazing idea for an adventure of a lifetime………..

    Hugs, Pam

  8. Jan & Rusty says:

Wow. Just wow. That is one perfect video. Thanks, Will.

Will we need you to come to NZ and do some talks to educate people over here. Very insightful video and very heartfelt. You could teach so many people so much. Little bit of a tear jerker in there but fabulous fabulous video!

    Bravo!!!!! Well done!

  11. I’ve really missed Thursday morning posts, but your Friday videos have made the end of the work week so much better. I didn’t think anything could top your Just a Dog post, but you did. Makes me proud to be a dog person. Eko is so lucky to be well traveled. Now it’s Penny’s turn.

  12. Melody says:

Beautifully said and shared! Brought back so many memories of my 12 1/2 Ridgeback, Zonka. We lost his last summer and he is so missed.

  13. Genevieve says:

My favorite video ever! All the kids are looking good – and that includes Doc. They are all JUST what they need to be…..

Wonderful vision, Will, Eko, Penny and Emily. This brought tears and smiles at the same time.

  18. Bravo, bravo well said! Thanks for sharing this beautiful video.

  19. Between tears and smiles with a killer narrative, this post was pawfect as I marked the passing anniversary of a beloved dog this week as well as the recent passing of a couple others. They were all ‘just dogs’ but that notion was perfectly described in your video. Thank you!

  20. Great video!!

They give us everything and ask for nothing in return 🙂

  21. Fabulous! I cannot imagine life without dogs. They make everything just right.

  22. Donna says:

Wow. ..just wow! If this is not THE perfect video, I don’t know what is. I have shared with my daughter and sisters, all who definitely know what it’s like to love “just a dog”. Wow!

    Love on four legs.
