[VIDEO] Temps drop, Pups don’t stop

Winter weather is here with all sorts of fun temperatures like -2 and -30 (with windchill). Nevertheless, Eko and Penny need to run and romp year round. In the interest of preserving our sanity (and my apartment security deposit) that means we bundle up and see what kind of winter adventures

Comments for [VIDEO] Temps drop, Pups don’t stop

  1. That’s the funniest girl ever… even the flu-gremlin who sits on my back since days must laugh :o)

  2. Love the ‘Penny stalk’ – that girl is hilarious! Sympathies to Eko on his ‘baby’ sister though it seems like he holds his own. Stay safe and warm 🙂

  3. fredrieka says:

  8. Penny is such a wonderful character!! We love those ears of hers and her expressive little face. Poor Eko sometimes looks like he doesn’t know what hit him! 😀 (Answer: ;Hurricane Penny)

  9. Emmadog says:

We’ve been freezin’ our furry behinds off since Sunday with mostly below zero temps. Looking forward to above zero with less wind starting Sunday. Bailie is handling it pretty well, we do fast romps in the yard and then crash out. You guys look great in your jackets!

  10. Joan says:

Can’t wait to see Penny in snow shoes!

  11. Kismet says:

To get to 78, we’d have to start up the A/C. Whatever, it’s just more money to the electric company.

  12. Thanks Will! Penny really has brought a lot of joy hasn’t she 🙂

  13. Nikitaland says:

I love watching your dogs play! I get the biggest kick out of it! Although we don’t have a beach to romp on like you, we romped outside today too, and we all ended up under blankies in the end!

  14. These two are adorable. It’s great watching them play. 🙂

  15. Those two are so much fun to watch…..never a dull moment for THEM or for YOU!!!

    Pam

  16. I LOVE those kids at the beach! When I walk in snow for 5 minutes, I start acting like my feet are on fire and beg Mom to carry me with my saddest sad face. I’m not crying wolf – I swear!! She says the word, “I don’t like the cold any more than you do, little girl. WALK!”

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  17. T&S says:

Nice video 🙂 you managed to catch a little bit of everything in ridgeback play behaviour.

Penny is very active, seems more active than Eko, our female is also like that now at 1,5 year of age (she runs around like crazy and probably five times more than our male).
In talk with other female RR owners I found out that females tend to calm down at 5-6 years of age.

We were also finally out today in the woods after 15 days. Our females paw pad heeled sooner than expected. And it was great, they both were running like wild.

Today its 14 C degrees here, and we are expecting snow tomorrow. Climate has gone wild.

  18. Cathy & Banjo says:

I think it’s fantastic that you never let cold or bad weather stand in your way! Those pups have it good!

  19. I didn’t get to see this til now, was saving it for my husband to see as well, (he LOVES your videos too!) I LOVE how Penny’s ear still flips back!!!! Your new place is so dog-friendly, it’s great!
