I met a friend of a friend last weekend who overheard our mutual friend talking to me about Eko. He told me that his family has a lap dog and then asked what kind of dog Eko is. I told him the truth, “Eko is a lap dog too.”
It all started when Eko was a pup and could fit perfectly in your lap. Here he is with my older brother
The first time Emily’s mom met Eko he was a lap dog, but by the second time she saw him Eko was more of a lap+torso dog
Sure, Eko grew to be nearly as big as Emily, but he didn’t think that disqualified him from lap-dog status
While I’m sure Eko dreams of hopping up into visitors’ laps, he has invented a move where he will back into people, put his butt in their lap and then support his weight with his two front legs. I admire his creativity. And when I’m on the couch, Eko knows that he can fully let his inner lap-dog out.
Just like old times!
Sure he’s not your typical lap dog, but I think Eko fits perfectlyJust another reminder from Eko that if you put your mind to it, there’s almost nothing you can’t accomplish. Anyone else have a pet who frequently “forgets” what size they are?
