[VIDEO] How To Feed a Rhodesian Ridgeback
People are passionate about their dogs, which is awesome. People are also increasingly passionate about what they feed their dogs, which is also great! That said, I think that passion often breeds competition rather than collaboration. It’s tough to sift through all the data on canine nutrition and I know
this ears at 0:35!!!! we check the weight the same way like you and it is a challenge… and we learnt that glass scales are nice but not the best choice for a dog house… I’m glad we killed all two, they are anyway liars and messed up my day always when I used them…
Feeding dogs is a jungle. High quality food is a must, none of that cheap grocery store junk. The guides on bags are usually far too much too. It is really trial and error.
Love the video, spot on!!
Great video
Terrific video Will. Your hairy kids are just four-legged hams. Too funny! I use a name brand food, both dry and canned, and ALWAYS measure. I also soak the dry food a little to help prevent bloat …. something the vet suggested years ago.
I have never seen or heard of ‘slow bowls’. What a terrific idea. Murphy vacuums her food down, but somehow still manages to chew it. I have kept all my dogs on the lean side, especially Murphy. With only 3 legs for support, she doesn’t need to be toting around extra pounds.
Really enjoy your blogs. Always informative, full of good tips, and I think Murphy is in love with
Zero!! Lol.

Great video…….feeding cats (especially if they are a bit overweight to start with) is tough too……and they have slow bowls for kitties as well so that’s helpful if you have a “gobbler”. Teddy is typically picky about food and it does keep me on my toes with trying this and that. Whatever it takes, we do want to be sure our pets get the best food along with all the love they can stand!!

Nice video and thank you for including the vet in your dietary plans! So many people don’t remember that veterinarians can provide a dietary consult if they are unsure, confused, or worried about all the crazy different nutrition options out there, and they tend to be a more concentrated source of info than internet chat groups.
You forgot to mention that a truckload of sunflower seeds is very good. If your dog doesn’t thrive on it, your parrot will.
