Three days into his stay with us, Cash seemed more at ease. As recommended by a number of readers, I took Eko and Cash on a few walks together which definitely helped them be more comfortable with each other. That said, they still seemed a world apart.
In the apartment, Eko and Cash kept their distance and generally ignored each other
While I was glad both pups were relaxed, I hoped that a good romp might help both pups get over their indifference to one another. That’s why I called in the reinforcements and had our friend Rachel and her pup Riley come over for a run. I figured if Cash saw how much fun Eko and Riley have together he couldn’t help but warm up.
Riley and Eko have a unique way of saying hello – aka jumping all over each other! Cash was a bit wary, but I could tell that he was itching for some fun so we took the three dogsketeers for a run
It’s funny how much Cash’s personality changed once we got going. His quite, reserve demeanor melted away and he became a romping, outgoing pup.
I sprinted through the park with Eko and Cash and felt like I had a jet engine on each arm! They were both so happy
Off-leash at the beach was even better. Eko, Cash and Riley had an absolute blast
